The ending was perfect plot wise but it did feel a little rushed. I feel like an extra episode with giving the reveal scenes and resolutions more screen time would have made the ending feel a bit more justified. This is something I am willing to overlook cause of JCW's amazing acting all throughout
To all y'all stating this show is trash or the same as other plots in the comments:
First, Imma need you to state your age cause you must be 12yo or younger to have such poor knowledge of what good tv and cinema are. And second, so many shows and most stories are just the same plot over and over with just little tweaks. Ever heard about the "Hero's Journey"? Literally every adventure story ever follows that formula. What makes THIS show so excellent is the pacing, directing, cinematography, effects, music, and most importantly, the ACTING! That is what sets this show apart from other undercover stories and noir movies. With these aspects being so well done, the plot of the show becomes so much more interesting, even if it may seem simple on paper
Ji Chang Wook is eating this role up. Seriously makes Wi Ha Joon's acting less impressive and Ha Joon is an excellent actor! Chang Wook is just doing that well!!!! THAT CORRIDOR SCENE?! All in one take!? WHAT!? This dude literally popped a blood vessel in his eye during the fight scene and just kept going with 10000% commitment
I am obsessed with this show! It's literally giving all that I could ask for in a 90s crime drama.
A little more bromance would be nice but I love Junmo's character so much that it's not needed. I can't wait to see how his character develops as he becomes more and more like a criminal as 'Kwon Seungho'.
Did anyone notice how Su Yu’s belt buckle is undone when Wu Bi and Su Yu are fighting after Wu Bi finds Mao Chong’s headphones in ep 21? I’m trying to use all my logic to understand how that could happen in a fight but I can’t think of a reasonable explanation. What was Wu Bi trying to do?? 🤨
