Missing this show today. Nothing that has come out this year has topped this show for me. Best noir crime kdrama thriller hands down

I love Lee Joon Hyuk so I really want to watch this but I tried Stranger like a year ago and couldn't watch it because I can't stand one of the leads.
Do I have to watch Stranger to understand this show?

I get what you're saying, but it might be because he wants to play different kinds of roles? Like villains or antiheros? Not many lead roles are that archetype and he might just enjoy pushing himself in different acting roles

I've only watched ep 1 and 2 but I kinda hate both leads and the tone of the show. Bitna annoys me with her attitude (but that might just be my distaste for Park Shinhye talking)and Han Daon has zero personality so far. Its like he's just there to be a foil to Bitna. I was hoping he would have an interesting character but he's literally just a token cop right now.
The tone of the show is also a little too silly for my taste in some parts, it kinda reminds me of hotel del luna (which was ok I guess) in its tone but worse.
Just wondering if any of you think it gets better or if I should just drop it.
I dont usually watch rom coms or fantasy but I love many of the recommended shows so I thought maybe I should give it a chance

I love these dark noir roles that Ji Chang Wook is doing. The kdrama world is super saturated with romcoms so its nice to see one of my favorite actors slaying in the action/thriller department

Does anyone know what is wrong with the Hulu version? I watched up to ep 8 on hulu but found that episode 9 on another site had skipped a whole episode of plot. Episode 8 on this site would have been ep 9 on hulu. What in the world did they do to the hulu version that the episodes are off?
