Yup, I agree, they shouldn't tied it to only friends, because it's just way too different, and in order to appreciate the story on it's own you really need to forget how the season1 looked like. I think, based on the pilot, originally they wanted it to be like season1, but due to ohmleng splitting and swapping the cast, they decided to lukewarm the story for some reason...because really the story is way different so much things got changed, there is even the line of Rome to Jack, Rome: "Are you going to outdo me in everything?" Jack: "No one could love someone like you" Rome: "Maybe if I didn't have a brother like you, I could be loved you asshole!" There is nothing like this in the series 💔

Same, that would be something new, and makes the ending even more emotional, but I think I will cry a river 😭

The more I think about this the more I'm opening up to the idea of them not getting back together, it's painful, but maybe it's for the best...😭 based on all things that happened in their story it might seem like they haven't progressed at all, back to square one, but maybe the progress is them realizing they need to let go, some things aren't meant to be forever 😞

Ehh bfr, I have lots of critism for ofdo, but like objectively it's not bad, it's pretty good actually, yes the script is weak, but there are other factors to a show that make it good, it's not a book to be judged only by it's story, and I would say that OFDO gets all the other stuff right, acting is phenomenal, the long takes are really good as well as the cinematography, characters and their dynamics are interesting, the mockumentary intervals are fun and stayed all the way instead of season1 where they weren't consistent, the emotional scenes hit right in the gut.

While it could be more messy I liked the balance between drama and sweet moments, something that was lacking in s1 because there was just too much drama. Nc scenes were quite short, but I think they were still good, like I hope you guys didn't forgot about the famous RomeRaffy tongue 😛 Also it was interesting to analyze the characters, who was right, who was wrong, who people sided with etc.

There are some really good scenes too, and even if the reason for them might seem weak, they stand on it's own pretty strongly, for example the theater scene where Tua had a crashout or his and Arnold sweet proposal scene, JackDean fight in the bathtoom and Dean switching expressions in a blink, or RomeRaffy where Rome says "the loser who loves you is right here" and lots more, there are really good and no one will convince me otherwise, we need to give a credit where it's due.

Like Nick was obsessed and kept holding on Boston just like Dean keeps holding on Jack... even if Jack keeps hurting him like Boston kept hurting Nick...

I have to say I like that we don't know if Jack and Dean will end up together after all, it's not that predictable, it's kinda a parallel to BostonNick imo, their storyline seems simmilar if you think about this, because with them we also didn't know if they can make it work right till the end...(Or maybe my delusional Nick-like ass didn't know even if it was clear from the start that it won't work 😭), but does the director have the guts to split a fixed couple? No idea, but that would be interesting to see (even though i love earthmix 💔😭)

But still, idk if u watched the pilot, but its so different from the series, feels like they changed the whole plot and i'm really sad about that bc it seemed so exctiting 😔 I mean I still enjoyed this series, the bad writing annoys me, but the acting is phenomenal though and i still like the characters, it has some good moments and great long shots, but its only okay, when it could be a masterpiecie...

What's worse than lack of cross kissing is that they kept teasing that they will happen 😭😭😭 so many almost kisses here pls, I think it would be better if they didn't showed them at all than teasing the audience like that..

Yup, they really butchered his character when they could make him interesting and likeable in milion other ways while still showing him as an asshole, that way people could connect more with his and Dean struggles...
and in the pilot he also seemed like a player with charisma and confidence, his character would be much more enjoyable that way, right now he is just pitful and unlikeable, it's hard to even feel sorry for him, he did most of the damage on his own, because he can't get out of his head and trust issues 😔 Unfortunately even the best acting can't really save a bad script and I will say that all actors did their best and even better with what they had to work with🙏

Jack really should have said "I'm sorry" instead of "I forgive you" 😭 I don't like how they made their relationship one sided when it comes who is the victim and who is at fault, pointing all the blame at Dean..when I think that no one is truly at fault here, or maybe both are to some extent, but their problems steem from internal issues, that fight over the video was only an excuse, and while I understand that Jack has massive trust issues and he got hurt by what Dean did, ultimately he casted most of the pain on himself on his own, believing in the made up scenario in his head and not trying to see what truly happend...
I would prefer if they showed that Jack is his own worst enemy, trapped inside his mind, and he is hurting himself the most that way, and that he acknowledges it, that he can't trust Dean anymore, but he feels remorse, and he knows that's not Deans fault, not Deans failure, and he knows that Dean didn't deserved that harsh treatment, then instead of "i forgive you" if it was "I'm sorry, for not trusting you, for hurting you" it would mean so much more for us as the audience as well, because it would show that yes, Jack is flawed, but he is aware of it, he's not trying to put the blame on Dean, but he also knows that he can't change his way of thinking, even if they still love each other, this love is a lost game now, and the only way for them to be together would be to be apart, and once they grow up and can trust each other maybe they can try again...but welp this will stay in my headcanon 😔💔
