It's hard to tell. Getting on tv, especially on cctv channels is difficult. Its limited to so many dramas per year, and schedules are always changing. Fingers crossed this drama can air successfully on a cctv channel.

Latest news, they started their investment promotion and will air in Q4 of this year, possibly December. No mentions of airing on CCTV.

I actually like the new name. Deeper meaning and a majestic feeling. I don't think they cut out any contents. It was initially registered for 40 eps, but 30 was the determine number at the start of filming. The director and screenwriter both stated it was only 30 episodes long. No worries about the quality, cause cutting 10 episodes is crazy! Thats 1/4 of a storyline.

It's not uncommon for same actor to have same dramas airing same time time. Bai Lu had love in kunning palace and only for love aired in the same month. Actors have no say, its all up to the production companies and platforms. The more you film, the higher chances your dramas will overlap each other. I do hope Glory does not air same month as Unclouded.

Glory is on Mango platform. There's a chance both dramas will air in December.
Like Unclouded, Glory is also waiting for a TV slot. Tv schedules are always changing, so it's hard to tell for sure. I have a feeling Unclouded will come in mid December. The Unclouded novel is also listed for a December release. And I heard, a novel usually will not come before a drama.

I highly doubt it'll be November. It's already packed. Tang Dynasty 3 11/8, Speed and Love, and Legend of Magnate 11/28. If anything, it'll likely follow Legend of Magnate.

I really admire his dedication. He knows that many directors tend to feel the pressures to create a follow up hit, and they usually all failed, and he did not want that to happen to him. I feel like unclouded soul has been his pet project for such a long time, but he didnt have the resources or trusts to make it happen until he created a hit like The Knockout.

Haha. China's censorship is just way too strict. Every "sex" scenes is either blurred or cut off abruptly, leaving us viewers having to use our imagination 🤣😅

The knockout wasn't big with international audiences and judging from MDL it wasn't that popular or highly rated. It's a different story in China. It was a phenomenal hit when it aired. It was the most talked and discussed drama, broke tv ratings on CCTV and all satellite stations, #1 on iqiyi all time popular show( I doubt no other dramas will able to top it), on Douban it sits at 8.5 with over a million people who rated it. That's how highly popular this drama was. It's going to put a lot of pressure for this director to follow up with unclouded soul. He wrote, used the same production company, spent a lot of money on expensive cgi, and he asked Zhao Liying to guest starred. Not sure she's doing as a favor since he did direct her in one of his dramas, or the rumor, that she's one of the producers. Either way, with her, it's going to boost the popularity. The director put so much efforts in polishing this drama, and I do hope it does pay off in the end.

Yu Zheng been quiet is because the girl have been hinting about exposing his long rumor of using a surrogate in the United States. surrogacy is illegal in China. if the dirt turns out to be true, Yu Zheng could be banned from the industry.

Xu Lisha's 2 weeks cease fire is over. she's ready to take Xu Kai and Yu Zheng down. she just issued and ultimatum to Xu Kai to apologize for all the hurt he caused on her and other girls or else she will spill more dirt. dang, this is really bad.

"As beautiful as you" did surpass 27k. highest peak was 27,910. and it lingered around those numbers for the duration of the drama.

I see most complaints were for the plot, Xu Kai's lack of screentime, and too many side characters which caused it to be watered down. it can't even cross 27k heat index and Yunhe data has not gone up but actually decreased. some are saying it's considered a flop.

agree! if I got $ for every "why is the rating so low?" comments, I be rich by now! 😄 just enjoy the drama and go with the flow. it is what it is.
