“Sword and Beloved” is the story of a boy who grows up resented by his father. He lives a very quiet life and sometimes helps the needy in disguise. His life changes when a girl enters his life, and many secrets are revealed. Throughout his journey, he meets wonderful people, fights against injustice, confronts evil, and eventually wins.
This is the story.

What I felt missing in the drama was the romantic chemistry between the main leads, which I waited for until the last episode. Although I enjoyed watching the chemistry between Chang Hua Sen and Zhang Kai Ying, and one more love story was there but their love story was also incomplete.
I liked Wang Hong Yi’s performance too—he was very good at expressing all kinds of emotions. I hope he gets a main role in a drama someday.

Now, my views about the drama: I was really not into it. Maybe the story was too long, had some unnecessary scenes, and yes, it was devoid of a proper lead love story.

Perfect second chance

I liked the drama, The Tower of Whisper. I knew that the storyline was old, but the execution made it worth watching. I enjoyed it right from the beginning. The female protagonist was running away from the male protagonist, who was a tyrant king, along with her childhood friend. Suddenly, the carriage stopped. She jumped out of the carriage with force, and at the same time, the male protagonist came from above, landed in the carriage, and held her hand to save her from falling. Their eyes met, and oh my god — this scene gave me goosebumps!

The story was good, and so was the acting. Although the supporting characters performed well and gave commendable performances, my attention was always on the leads. Their acting, their chemistry, and above all, their romance were all top-notch. Some scenes even gave me goosebumps!

Overall, it is a must-watch drama for anyone who enjoys intense romance and strong lead performances.

Imperfection

Beyond the Loop is a story about getting a second chance to change the future. In the drama, the protagonists met a tragic end, but they were reborn to undo the wrong events that had happened to them. The concept was good, but the execution was poor. The characters performed very well, especially the male protagonist. I liked all the expressions he showed according to each situation.

Bored

“Dear Hongrang” was one of the most anticipated dramas for me, mainly because of Lee Jae Wook. However, it didn’t quite meet my expectations.

The story revolves around a sister searching for her missing brother. An imposter enters her life, pretending to be the lost brother—but she knows he is not. Despite that, his kind nature draws her in, and she eventually falls in love with him. As more hidden truths are unveiled, their lives are turned upside down, leading to a tragic end.

I didn’t enjoy the drama much due to the presence of the psychotic king and the painful truth behind the male protagonist. It was heartbreaking to see how brutally the king used him, which ultimately led to his tragic ending.

I also liked Jung Ga Ram. His character suffered a lot and never truly lived a fulfilling life.

Overall, the story felt too harsh and filled with negativity, which didn’t align with my tast

Personally, I didn't like the story of Buried Hearts. Although the first few episodes were quite engaging, I didn’t find anything interesting in the rest of the drama. However, I must say that despite the unremarkable storyline, the only reason I completed it was because of the male lead. His acting was simply top-notch.

Not for me

Always Home" was an average drama for me, as I’ve already watched many school and college-based dramas. So, I didn’t find anything new in it — the same struggles with studies, trying hard to prove oneself to parents, fighting for their dreams, and themes of love and jealousy.
I would recommend this drama to college-going students, as they might connect with it more.
Other than that, I appreciated the performances of the actors and actresses, including those who played the roles of parents and teachers."

A lightweight drama

As I mentioned earlier, it is a lightweight drama. As already stated in the synopsis, it tells the story of a girl who is forcefully bound in marriage.

Lu Ran is the girl who was forced to get married. She ran away from her wedding, but on the way, she was kidnapped. She discovered that many other children were also kidnapped. Somehow, she managed to escape along with a young girl. After ensuring the girl reached her home safely, she was shocked to learn that this was the family she was supposed to marry into.

She apologized to the family. Due to some circumstances, she had to stay there. Her husband by name (a title-only husband) helped her with her studies, and in return, she helped him take care of his family and business. And that’s how their love story began.

The drama portrays a lower-middle-class family that doesn’t wish for much in life. I liked their daughter too—she was very cute.

For me, the drama deserves a pass.

“The Tale of Lady Ok” has a unique storyline. This drama portrays the lives of servants in prehistoric times. Some of their masters are cruel and believe that servants are their property, giving them the right to do whatever they wish. The female protagonist stands against this injustice, showing courage and resilience.

Because of her resistance, she faced humiliation, but some kind and genuine people around her helped her throughout her journey. The male protagonist gave a powerful performance. The actor who played her brother-in-law also did an excellent job—his support for her won my heart, and he was quite adorable too. I felt bad for her ex-husband, but the story provided a justified ending for both her ex and present husband. Many characters performed brilliantly.

Emotional

The drama is highly emotional; however, the chemistry between the leads made it watchable. Their love story and his dedication while chasing her showed unconditional love. A good one!

I liked the second leads too. The drama also highlights the injustice faced by girls who are already struggling to find their way. Some get justice, while others do not. It also explores how people around them react—some are selfish, some are controlled by powerful influences, and some choose to stay out of the mess and refuse to help.

Despite all this, some girls refuse to give up and continue to fight for their rights. The drama also beautifully portrays how true love never lets go of its partner’s hand.

Flawless

Absolutely perfect, especially the king’s love for his woman. Despite everything, he protects her at all costs. What I liked most was that he didn’t care about anything else—his priority was always her.

In many dramas like this, the king often becomes helpless and lets his woman suffer, but here, that wasn’t the case.

Too good! A must-watch.

Actually I liked the drama , specially the chemistry between the leads.

For me, this drama was all about chemistry. I felt bad for the second male lead—he remained a true friend while setting aside his own emotions. I am not saying that the female lead should be him. However someone should be there for him also.

The ending was perfect. All the actors and actresses did a great job. I especially liked the first male lead’s smile—he looked cute all the time.

I prefer Chinese historical dramas over modern ones. Except for a few episodes, the drama was enjoyable overall.

Boring.

What I liked most about the entire drama was Jang Ki Yong’s smile. Unfortunately, the weak storyline overshadowed even the best acting. There were no truly happy or uplifting moments, and after the first three or four episodes, every character seemed lost, struggling with their own challenges.

I understand that life isn’t perfect and that ups and downs are a part of everyone's journey. However, dramas are meant for entertainment, and unless they are based on a true story, there’s no need to make the plot so unnecessarily complicated. To make things worse, they even messed up the ending.

Like many viewers, I had high hopes for the main couple. Despite their story being overly complicated by unnecessary consequences, I still hoped for a better or at least a satisfying ending. Unfortunately, I was left disappointed. I don’t know how others feel, but the ending didn’t work for me, and it left me feeling unsatisfied.

A Dream of Splendor" tells the story of four individuals. The narrative centers around a girl whose family has been wrongly accused of a crime, forcing her to live as a pariah. As she grows up, she leaves the place to start her own tea house. Along her journey, she makes two supportive friends who stand by her side.

In her life, there is also a man who represents her love interest. They enjoy happy moments together until he departs to complete his studies and secure an officer position. He promises to return and marry her after finishing his education and finding a job. However he nevers return.

Another man enters the scene, arriving at her tea house to investigate a painting. The story unfolds as the lives of all four characters become entangled, filled with challenges and confrontations. Ultimately, the plot leads to a happy ending.

However, the story lacks spark and intrigue. While the chemistry between the leads is commendable, the overall narrative feels predictable and uninspired.

Crying

Praise of Death (or Hymn of Death) is a heart-wrenching drama based on a true story, which I wasn’t aware of until watching it. Though I wished for a happy ending for the characters, the fact that it’s based on real events left the writer no choice. The story is truly tragic, and I found myself crying during the last scene, especially when the male protagonist delivered his inner monologue while dancing with his lover. He reflected on how important she had become in his life, how deeply they were connected, and how much he cherished every moment spent with her—all while crying, which moved me to tears as well.

The tragedy didn’t only affect the two lovers but also his wife, who suffered silently. The real blame for their fate lies with his father. He was a dutiful son, and his father took advantage of that obedience, marrying him off at a young age and never allowing him any freedom. When he finally got the chance to live life on his own terms, he developed feelings for another woman. Despite being married, he never crossed any boundaries or expressed his deep love for her, bearing the pain in silence. On the other hand, the woman longed to share her feelings with him but was stopped when she learned the truth about his marriage. She quietly left his house, and that’s when their sorrowful love story began.

Lee Jong Suk's acting was exceptional. His performance was so calm and realistic that it felt like these events were unfolding in real time. I was deeply moved by his portrayal, and once again, I’ve become a fan of his acting.

While I don’t usually like sad endings, knowing that this is what actually happened to them makes it all the more heartbreaking.

Perfect

I watched this drama primarily because of the main actor, whom I admire greatly. His acting is exceptional, and he truly showcased his versatility in this role. From portraying furious and stubborn to arrogant, crazy in love, and innocent, he displayed a wide range of emotions effortlessly.

While the story itself may not have had a significant impact, his acting prowess more than made up for it. I believe he deserves bigger projects and opportunities to showcase his talent on a larger scale.
