I think it was for the aspect of being bold.. Thats seen in Hollywood movies for this topic.
But this one isnt all that. But still a bold and confident step actually and very well executed in a healthy and non toxic way.
Anyway. Its a good movie not all that bad. Maybe if you read some of the really analytical reviews you may get the answer for what you felt was missing.

Kanning being in the funeral was justified because she works in the flower
Shop. As well she knows kavin who gave the order.
Kavin does really have a motive. Right from his second meeting to warn about their life to gorya through Kanning. He always gives Kanning a glimpse of life on his side. And his talks with her is always deep. Knowing the naivety of Kanning he seems to warn her about other side.. I guess.

Most of the cdrama actors stay safe in the range they got famous in. Very few play with different genre of characters. But I still hope for the best. I mean choosing this series shows that they are willing to try some genres apart from regular.

Nani is a visual treat too. There couldn't be any other person who played Akira so well.

Exactly I would like more of his story than a lousy romance.
In Chinese version he is like wind.. Existing but not noticeable, in korean version he is non existent. I haven't watched the Japanese version to comment on that.
But here.. He is like the main binding force. Joining everyone together. And his heartwarming scene where he didn't leave thymes side and sat next to door, talking and consoling him. And always looking out for his friends.

Her family moves to their village due to someone being ill and to gather enough money to pay off their debt..but here with the minor module changes I think those issues her family faces will be related to the MLs mom taking action.
In Chinese version.. I think gorya s family with her brother moved off completely leaving her alone here.. And then because of issues with f4.. She too goes there for lil days. Which doesn't make sense tbh.

Well because the dramas are all filmed before airing.. They don't really know how successful it might get. She has chosen those dramas long before this airs and might have already finished filming those dramas as well. But I hope seeing the success of this series.. She can be bolder with her choices of her script and dabble with different characters

Yesssss!! I wish for that too. Specially MJ. Cz he is always side tracked in all other versions. I hope he gets something in this version cz he is so nice and more interactive in this. 🥺

The drama is fast paced cutting off a lot of draggy scenes. The fiancé introduction is already here.

Seeing these two scenes side by side has more impact. They both match so well.

Other versions could hardly made use of his character. He was practically the bg.
But he is an important element holding F4 together always and be the mature one in the group, sorting and communicating regarding the problems.
