Okay, that cliff scene....I don't understand why the safest option wasn't climbing through the back of the car…
Totally agreed. That and the overly theatrical English of the bad guys were the moments that really made me roll my eyes. But even if I see the flaws, I can't help but to get really excited about this to the point of getting insomnia! I blame Song Joong Ki.
Wait why was this series banned? Can someone explain it to me? I'm not familiar with Chinese law, is it illegal…
It's not just homossexuality, they censor everything they consider 'overly sexual'. In Empress of China they edited out all cleavage: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-30785325
Unlike most people (from what I've been hearing) I hated the first episodes of this show. I'm not particularly a fan of slapstick comedy and I found it dreadfully sexist... But I kept watching and, after having finished it, I absolutely loved it! It got much funnier and I love how Peng Peng comes to the realization (I don't think this counts as a spoiler) that it doesn't matter whether you're a man or a woman, what matters is who you are as a person. And that's as feminist as it gets, don't you think? :)
I've watched up to epi 16, and so far it's not much about the revenge, but more about the rich kid's coming of age as he strives to make a living on his own. I think it's worth watching if you're into fun light-hearted dramas.
