As i understand this had something to do with the Xiao Zhan AO3 palava of a few years ago. If that’s true and this author was involved in that then I’m not surprised they dropped it. No one wants to open that can of worms again. Chinese fans would crucify the actors I just hope they find something to replace it with that’s good

Problem is what is going on behind the scenes IS affecting the watching of ALL episodes
The thing is that the new Chinese rules are supposed to only impact shows filmed in China. Yes this show has Chinese actors and is based off Chinese scource material, but it was filmed as far as I know mostly in Singapore and Taiwan. So I’m not sure why it’s being included
This show is killing me...........and Pavel's acting in episode 10.............wow!
I have never seen him act before (which is probably good considering what i've been told about his past problems in the industry).........but he is so good, and this show gives him so much range to show off his abilities, I really hope he goes far in the future. As for the others. Charlie and Babe's chemistry is fantastic, and I think that Pooh and Pavel have some great onscreen chemistry. Even our villains play their roles exceptionally well, especially Tony and Way. When you want to reach through the screen and strangle someone, you know the actor is doing something right. It's the first time I've seen an omgeaverse, racing, child trafficking, show like this.........and I hope these people keep trying to push the envelope with there acting, plots and shows.
Not unpopular opinion - this week. I understand your frustration. Many people get frustrated by addicts. Maybe…
That's your choice.......not the responsibility of the makers of the tv show. They clearly stated it's an adult show, therefore it isn't based towards teaching lessons to minors as other shows would be. Some shows have teaching lessons to minors in mind, teaching them life lessons in the right ways........this isn't one of them, and never claimed to be. If you want to teach kids life lessons through TV, maybe choose a different one.

to be fair......it's an 18+ series.......there shouldn't be any minors watching it. The show has made it clear where it stands with the age tag for mature audiences........therefore it shouldn't be worrying about how it comes over to minors
People expect you to have read all (8826 comments) as of the time or writing. :) Ray is my favorite character…
I love Ray as a character and Khao as an actor...........Ray is so broken its painful........of course he doesn't exactly help himself most of the time, but you can see it coming from a place of soul deep pain rather than any malice. Ray could so easily come across as a nasty character but Khao plays him so, so well. First, in playing Sand is fantastic as well, and even though I can easily hate the other couples I can help but still hope these two find and heal each other.
I highly disagree with the idea that BL is somehow inherently toxic. Sounds like that author of heartstopper.…
Not everyone in a fandom is toxic.......that is a broad assumption and just as full of errors as the idea of the two actors being an item based on fanservice and a few interviews. There are always levels to anything.........myself personally, I am in fandoms of many actor 'pairings' I like, for either their acting skills with each other, their chemistry on screen or simply because I like how they come across as comfortable with each other in interviews. It is always good to see actors enjoying their work, with a co-star they trust and are comfortable with, and it is always great to see a pair of actors who have dazzling chemistry on the screen. This does not have to be a bad thing..........however sadly too many people mix the fantasy with reality and it turns into one. This doesn't just happen with BL either, although BL seems to be the focus of many people as it is the new focus of many (especially Asian) actors and studios in the last few years. People can support actors in many ways, including supporting them as a pair (although I refuse to refer to them as a 'couple'. when speaking about the real actor and not the character.....but that is personal preference).......the key is to do it respectfully and not mix the fantasy aspect the actors present to us with the reality aspect of the fact that these are real people with real lives and emotions, and should
Because they aren’t like any other bl actor.. because Apo Nattawin is not just a bl actor 😉 jus to be clear,…

I am interested in watching this movie, as I have only seen Miles and Apo in KP and want to see them in something completely different. I am always interested in seeing actors broaden their acting horizons and seeing if the new genre does or doesn't work for them (in my opinion at least. I think everyone by now has realised that these two have electric chemistry on screen and are good friends off screen as well. (Am I one of those people who sees them as a RL couple, NO.....I can tell fantasy from reality, but I do like that they can enjoy each others company and their work). I can't wait for this to come out at see these two on screen together, and hope they work together again in future, simply because their onscreen chemistry is so amazing.
Did we watch too many strong women in drama that we forget that women who can be weak, they are struggle everyday…
I loved the fact that she was a weak character at the beginning........the problem I had with the show is that she didn't seem to grow a spine around her family until SY's cousin blurted everything about his past to her.......There was almost zero character development in her......and I for one look for that in a drama! I don't care what a character is but I need to see that character growth......and her character arc was more of a flat line! The actress did a great job, but for a drama, the character really wasn't written very well.
(FL )the girl was adopted. FL grew up in emotional blackmail and vulnerability. She said that she was trained…
I know she grew up in a manipulative family. That much is obvious in the show. What I don't like about the way she's written is how she keeps playing the victim with the ML.....at this point it's past boring and she needs to grow up. For some reason she thinks he should take the lead in the relationship.....which is silly when she is the one who broke it off. She makes a big deal about not stepping forward until he does, then she backs away as soon as he steps forward and her brother or mother open their mouths. Then she plays victim when the ML gives up on her. The way she is written is silly. I could understand the concept at the 5 or 10 episode mark.....but at half way in she has had no character development whatsoever. If the rest of the show is going to improve then the writers need to give her some character developments soon which will allow her to stand on her own two feet and stop her blaming the ML for her own actions........otherwise the show won't go anywhere (romantically at least). As for medical school......one of my parents is a nurse and the other is a doctor......neither has family money, they did it through hard work and taking out loans which they worked for years to pay back. So it can be done........it's just seriously hard to do. So I agree medical school is hard to graduate without family money, but not impossible.
This will be seriously nuts when it comes out with all these well known names in it. The 4 from Cutie Pie.......plus Boun and Boss as well as James and Net (I think that's their names) who I watching in Bed friends at the moment. With this many well known actors the one thing thing that I am worried about is that the plot can do justice to them all because their will be lots of fan bases watching and wanting their favourite actor to get enough screen time. It could be very tricky for the production team to please everyone. I just hope it all goes well and as many people as possible enjoy it (because lets get real, you can never please everyone).
i'm only on episode 20.......but this show has the same vibe as 'Go Ahead' the family atmosphere, with everyone being there for each other and the friends/family thing. Even the romance is secondary to the family. I'm loving it so far.
Interesting. I could easily agree with you on much of your synopsis. However, there is one area that I guess I…
I'm fairly new to the genre so I can only speak about the one's I have seen.......which true do centre around those kinds of themes......however they are all 18+ shows so the audience is given plenty of warning about the content. PLus I have seen other (non BL shows, mainly period pieces) that also have those themes, so I guess I don't link it with any one genre. If any BL dramas that are lower than 18+ also centre around this theme then I would have to agree that could be a problem with the way it is portrayed. However the problem would not be with BL shows........as I said there are other shows that have nothing to do with the minority communities which also show these themes, the problem would be with how to show these themes safely without causes problems to those under the age of 18. At least thats my opinion, but people are entitled to their own :)
Ive just read the synopsis and its very well......yeah!
However, maybe I see things differently from other people as I used to work in the theatre, and have done a (very) little work on camera, and am a bit more used to the behind the scenes parts of acting.
I watch tv for the fantasy of it and all shows like this (hopefully in the case of this one as we don't know yet) are 18+ therefore any one watching them should already have a good idea of right and wrong, and fantasy and reality. Maybe with some shows, like the recent KinnPorsche and others there should be a 21+ rating but that's for others to decide.
My point is that the majority of people are not bad for watching these types of shows, they are in fact well aware that what is happening on screen is happening between 2 consenting adults and with strict procedures in place. No one on screen in uncomfortable and if they are they are perfectly safe to shout 'cut' and sort the scene out before beginning again. This is why people enjoy such shows, they can make the disconnect between what's on screen and what would happen if it were real life. To a certain extent actors can do the same, as they feel safe and secure with co stars and are often making directors hair turn grey by messing around off screen.
However, this does not reflect people's real life opinions on the subject. You might find that people who watch these types of shows are the first to stand up and shout how wrong something is if it happened in reality. Yes tv can influence our vision of reality but if you have a firm idea of right and wrong it won't turn someone into a rapist simply by watching a tv show or reading a book.
A lot of shows, movies, books for the past few decades have had these kind of stories in them (in one shape or form) and the reason is that angst sells. Also these kinds of stories make us as a community face up to the darker side of humanity, the side we generally don't want to acknowledge, and say that it does exist. Yes! these stories affect us........no! noone is forcing any one to watch it.
The fantasy and reality argument can not simply be put aside because some people who watch these shows can't tell the difference. That is the problem with how the customer uses the product! Like any product......if a certain consumer can't use it properly and safely....THEY shouldn't have it in the first place......not ban the product and ruin it for everyone else.
Feel free to disagree with me........I enjoy a good debate (but these are my opnions on the subject)
I just hope they find something to replace it with that’s good

Apologies for that
