If Shen was 1,000 years' old and tired of the vampire life, I would have accepted the ending. It seems he was only 100 years' old, and a vampire for nine decades, and he now had a companion to continue the journey, I couldn't see the drama ending.

Nana and Vengo did an amazing acting job on this drama.

They had chemistry, and lots of hugs. LOL

I don't get it why Director and Screenwriter would decide to rewrite the ending. Did they kill off Shen, so they would not have to make Season 2? Very rare that a Cdrama even gets a Season 2.

The final scene in episode 24 between Mr Shen and Mi Lan had me in tears. The subs were not 100%, so I will have to rewatch it again. Amazing performances by Gao Wei Guang and Ouyang Nana! I am glad Tencent finally released the drama after almost three years. Drama gets 8.0. The 2.0 deduction is for some extraneous subplotting.

The plot is so convoluted now. I have watched half of episode 20, btw. LOL XD I don't know what to make of Situ anymore. He lived 100 years, but he never grew up. How many people and animals has he massacred for blood in 100 years, for survival?

The plot got convoluted when Li told Situ to arrange a meeting with Shen, and Li would give Jingxue to Situ. Situ is jumping for joy that Shen is going along with the plan. Meanwhile Li has a dastardly plan for Shen, as does Chi, and it involves a prison in a mine, and explosives. I am not sure if Situ knows about the mine. The plot has lost me at this point. And this is only episode 20.

I don't understand if Situ wants to have a physical relationship with Jingxue, and to dump her afterwards. He is acting like a gigolo playboy.

I haven't watched 20 to 23 yet, but it looks like Shen is walking into his doom because of Situ's stupidity.

I thought the same thing. Shen arrived in Haidong three years ago, but he met Li at least ten years ago. It must be the writer's memory lapse. The Shen mansion in Haidong also seems to have existed for a very long time.

I am watching ep 20. Did the plot start to nosedive? Since ep 19, the plot got stupid. Situ is the most infantile doctor. He acts and thinks like a 13 year-old. Li and Chi doing their individual powerpoint presentation is stupid. My rating is dropping from 8.5 to 8.0, at the moment. The writing is so feeble.

He was a teenager when Situ's mother turned him into a vampire. How did he age into an adult, and stop aging at 38ish (when Wei Guang filmed the drama)?

Have you heard of the Kdrama, Goblin. ML was several hundred years old, and FL was a teenager. 😒

Li Ying Liang met Mr Shen at the Opera House when he was a teenager. Li has random flashbacks.

I swear, I must have seen her in five to ten dramas in the last twelve months. She must be on the drama payroll.
