I could not make sense of the final arc. I felt as if I had entered a parallel dimension. Prior to the Yan Feng/Chen Xiang story, the plot was plausible.

The adult Su's temperament is most similar to Muyun Sheng's.

I agree with you on all four observations. Young Su and Adult Su are not drawing my interest. her best scene was slapping the Empress' niece, and that was wimpy slapping.

They appear to be using flashback as filler, to pad the episodes. Not an efficient system for keeping the viewer focused on the plot!

I have watched up to episode 14. This drama has the best cinematography and the CGI in the glass bead world was amazing. The soundtrack music is also very good. The palace costumes are beautiful.

Plot looks badly written because the present and past scenes are placed haphazardly. This makes it confusing to follow the plot.

I agree about the random and choppy scenes. It really interfered with the continuity of the story.

If the script story had been organized in sequential order, it could have looked more polished.

I didn't care for that mystery at the end. I could not stand Xu Shi Bai, and his stupid hairstyle, throughout the entire drama. It looked like a wig that a balding man would wear.

The last 6 episodes of Season 3 was dedicated to the Alphabet Villians. They were very boring and unnecessary. I fast-forwarded 90% of the episodes. I only wanted to see the finale.

I always remembered Kim Joo Hyuk since I watched Lovers in Prague, ten years ago. I watched all his episodes of Two days, One Night, during the KBS TV broadcast. Over the ten years, I watched some of his dramas and movies. His acting performance as the villain in Confidential Assignement was perfect, and he was playing against type.

I feel the grief that his family, relatives, friends and work colleagues are going through right now. Rest in peace, Kim Joo Hyuk.

MUAHAHAHAHA! The taglines of the above K-dramas are amusing and succinct. Now, if K-dramas could be succinct, and cut out filler and flashbacks.
