False. She was born in 1999! 2016 - 1999 = 17. Include +1 for Korean age…she was 18 at the time of filming.
The system actually does matter. I hate to break it to you, but the age of consent in Korea in 2015/2016 was 13, and it wasn't until 2020 that it was changed to 16. Korea is not the United States, D.R....where the age of consent is 18. I understand if, for personal reasons, you don't agree with the age gap, but you also have to acknowledge that the laws in Korea were/are different.

Note: Wrote this after several cups of coffee and straight-up bingewatching the whole season in one sitting. Not sure if anyone will read this but my thoughts
1. Y’all can we talk about Yamashita Tomohisa??? The literal chokehold this man had on me?? 😩 had me moaning and acting like a bitch in heat 😩. The amount of times I imagined licking chocolate off his fucking abs is unholy. I wanna get smothered and choked by this man with his perfect perky ass (I don’t if it’s not his real ass, I’m still gonna be delusional ☺️)
2. Am I the only one that wanted Ann and Kunia to become a couple?? Their relationship was wholesome and it would’ve felt natural if they started dating, but still, I love their friendship. Love the LGBTQ rep, and Love Kunia I’m a simp for this woman, literally foaming at the mouth, make me your B I T C H miss😫
3. Niragi: *sighs* I really prayed, had my fingers crossed, we would get a redemption arc for this man and what did we get? R*pe attempt #2 🤦🏼♀️. I hated how his character became pathetic especially his whole speech about if there were 8 billion of him Arisu would be the villain; this speech would’ve had a huge impact if he were a grey character but no he was just straight up shitty. He is a villain period, he was not “made out” to be one. Sure he was bullied but that’s not an excuse. His whole anger was entirely misplaced and misdirected at Usagii? which btw How??? If jumping to conclusions was an olympic this man would be dominating.
4. The games: It wasn’t as much of mind-fuck as S1 but It was still entertaining to watch. I feel like they focused more on world-building and developing the characters/backstory and for that I commend them, I appreciated seeing more of their journey than the games, it made me understand/relate to the characters better which btw CHISHIYA WAS A DOCTOR? Daddy 😩
Sidenote: could this man get any finer?? I love him fr, Marry me Sir! He might as well be starring in Aladdin cuz I’m gonna show him 🎶A whole new world🎶
5. Ep 8: The episode I never saw coming. Ep 1-7 felt a lil like a letdown but ep 8 made it up and more. The plot twists. I actually cried for the queen of hearts, I did not expect to like her as much as I did. Ngl, I fell for her manipulations🫠. All of the “explanations” she gave were my predictions, so when she gave the first explanation, I was excited, had me thinking I was smart for a sec…and yeah🤡. The hospital scene was amazingly done, like despite knowing at the back of my mind that none of it was real I was still sucked into the “fake reality” she was building. I loved this scene and episode.
Sidenote: Slay for the queen of hearts being the final boss, she took gaslight, gatekeeper, girlboss to a whole ‘nother level…I aspire queen shit 💪🏽😌.
6. The ending: It was beautiful, I was so happy to see the little kid get reunited with his parents sooo freaking happy. This episode left me bawling. I love that they didn’t remember what happened in the borderland, think of the ptsd, trauma, the therapy they would need to deal with that, they’d probably seem like psychos to the rest of the world, with zero hope of having a normal life. Also forgetting meant they’re able to form their bonds without being under such emotional duress, no trauma bonding. I love that Kunia was finally accepted by her father, that was heartwarming to watch and I’m so happy she got that acceptance, she deserves It. This ending was beautiful, I cried but it was lovely and everything tied up nicely.
Final sidenote: I am giving Tomohisa, Kunia, Ann, and Chishiya EXPRESS CONSENT to blow my mind/rail me whenever /wherever they want and I’m relieved at the character development (except niragi 😑) and happy with the ending.
