In this drama we need to understand that ancient korean royal court hold all the secret of the country in their hands and this secret is the power of mouth and strategic individual of the royal executive has, no royal executive is weak he can just have a limited secret power against other that’s is why we always see the director of Korean royal court display a group of execute coming together to become one faction against other powerful faction using the secret possess to fight each other

Which will be wise enough for the king to know that if he don’t work by the book and he show favoritism to one faction than one he could lose his head

The drama is really so political to watch it and if you have high understanding of how politic works you’ll understand the motive behind prince In sun decision toward mongwol to leave his fate to the department of judgement to decide

I can see people blaming the prince (now king) already which shouldn’t be so, this is not a melodrama and pure romance it’s more driving into politic and revenge and I personal haven’t seen anything bad about the prince yet, a king needs to be strong and fearful unless his executive could scheme against him querying his succession and once his weak point is reveal they’ll definitely build scheme upon that this not the first time we’ll see a king make decision that’ll hurt him and know it’s not right because of the other court executive want it

A king has the most power to rule and the final decision he’s not the only decision maker we need to understand that
