it's a common thing with shows that originally air straight to korean television bc they have strict censor laws. a lot of kdramas do this

It didn't take itself serious enough for me, like it set up a really good 180 degree turn but some of the acting and scenes are so...juvenile.

if they knew what they were doing with the story it could've been a regular 16 ep show, but it's kinda falls flat to me. I only made it to ep 3 & I can't get passed how juvenile some of the acting is 😭

he really was carrying the show, I only watched bc I like his acting but the show just lost me completely by ep 12. But good actors get cast in dumpster fire shows, like Song Kang in Love Alarm & the ENTIRE cast of Project Wolf Hunting (literally such a stacked cast of actors & the movie was garbage)

oh thats good bc I'd be heated if they turned a cool creature feature Into a romance

no I'm just saying there WILL be romance from what I've seen, & I wasn't looking for any in this show

yeah & I just saw somewhere that they were supposed to be 15 urs apart or smth so he should've been pushing 40 if bot at least 40 in the show. idk why they made such a weird age gap when it wouldn't hold up when they got older

I'll watch some more later, but it's just giving the vibe that the writers don't know how ro have a man & woman work together without romance. I might just be being a lil pessimistic abt it bc Romance in kdramas is so oversaturated rn

not really even if you try to sit through it the show completely derails by ep 6 & does NOT get better. Like genuinely ep 6 would pass you off so bad! it was fine & cute all the way to ep 5 tho, bc the ML is cute & they did have some good interactions. The shownqas just handled VERY badly. Like it was written by 2 different ppl who never met & didn't compare notes

I've only watched episode 1 and I cab tell they're gonna force some BS bo chemistry romance into the story for no reason & it's already passing me off

no bc who actually wrote the reviews for this?? what part abt this was a masterpiece?? the 1st hr is just everyone cursing at eachother and useless exposition & the 2nd hr was just bad gore. there was no plot till like the last 20 minutes. Nothing abt this was interesting or revolutionary

2 hrs of NOTHING

it's really only comforting up until ep 5. I started watching it as a new comfort show bc it was so relaxed and pretty but it goes downhill BAD. I don't wanna spoil but let's just say there's some abuse that's handled very badly & a badly written/handled mystery plot

I also dropped bc of the dismissal of abuse. specifically ep 6. I HATED that whole ep bc they all dismissed her feelings abt being STABBED! then they ended the ep all tied up in a cute bow?? like absolutely not! I couldn't bring myself to keep watching after that. This show started off so cute and relaxing, & I love the ML but it just completely tanked itself

THIS! she always shouting abt Justice and Law but assaults and stalks the ML?? She's so mad at him for "conning" ppl when he really isn't. he does solve their problems & gets paid for it he's just telling ppl he's a shame while doing it which isn't harming the ppl at all, yet she's SUCH a narc abt it!
