Apparently they wanted to surprise us, like we're all humans and we all do make mistakes.... ... but hey, there…
Well hopefully it has a happy ending... lol!
I don't think cheating is only common is Thailand. Its probably somewhat common everywhere lol. But yeah its often overly dramatized in series/films because I think on one hand they are trying to establish a narrative that "they are so into this other person that they couldn't help themselves" and on the other make it seem more "realistic". Or at least that's what I draw from it lol.
Knock is kind of a jerk in this one.... so no change. Lol I love Tul (especially his singing voice :D!!!) so I kinda give Knock a pass. BUT! Knock so far has been faithful AND he got the courage to come out to his parents!!! I like Knock, in some ways, a lot more in this series than in the first one. I still like Korn, but he made a BIG mistake. Farm has gone off the deep end with cheating and his need for revenge. Bright seems like he's actually starting to act his age. Yihwa keeps flirting with her boss when she has the handsome, funny and kind Cho!!! Cho seems beaten down by work, but he's still a pure guy as ever!!!
Farm is a bit of a creep. I didn't think much of it in the first season but in this one, he lets the creepiness show! Ugh poor poor innocent Rit, he doesn't know the weirdo cheating jerk he's dating... but he's starting to get suspicious. Yeah I don't like the whole age-gap thing either.
Initially I felt the same, but I think Mamose was attracted to Yoshiro. It was more like discovering and accepting…
I completely agree that TinCan are perfect! I'm glad to hear that its canon that TinCan eventually get together, that makes me feel a lot better :). Yeah seeing Tin cry in the shower made me cry, although I was already teared up when Can explained things to Tin lol.
Yeah Knock cheating on his GF kinda established that part of his character as opposed to Korn haha. Although, Pleung was a horrid girlfriend... you know dump her if you wanna date someone else! Don't cheat! lol
TWM Next chapter is a little dry at parts, it reminds me of what Sotus S suffered from. But I still enjoy it, even if it pisses me off here and there haha.
As for Pick and Rome, I love that couple for two main reasons. One, Rome is played by Gun who I love! Two, Pick is played by Gun who I also love and he does NOT do gay romances... EXCEPT with Gun haha! Or so he said in an interview. I actually like their relationship and its the only reason I watch Puppy Honey, the main couple had too many issues haha!
Can isn't a bad guy, even though he broke Tin's heart -- he tried SOO hard to be delicate. He cares about Tin, and also probably starting to love him as we started to see. But Can admits that he's never felt this way and it probably scares him. He's worried about worrying about Tin lmao! I thought he did the best he could in that situation, but it wasn't what Tin wanted. Can doesn't understand how difficult it would be for Tin, who loves him, to be around him and yet be in the friendzone. They not only belong together, they deserve one another. They fit so well! Ugh I'm salty too lol!
Well I finally got the courage to watch the final episode. For the most part I enjoyed it, but I want to SLAP whoever decided to give poor Tin such a terrible ending! I think Can definitely cares about Tin, he even kissed him back and got jealous of him! In time Can would probably start to accept his feelings, but without a season 2 we will never know :(. I felt SO bad for Tin! AePete make this series truly worth watching again and again, but man I really wanted a happy ending for TinCan!
And Kla, you are one naughty, NAUGHTY boy! Lmao, he's got a Machiavellian mind! I don't think it made No uncomfortable being with a guy, he's obviously into guys. But waking up next to your little bro's bestfriend! Awkward! No needs to avoid alcohol...
Although TinCan ending was a kick in the balls, it doesn't make me dislike this series. It was a really fun series to watch and I think the actors were amazing! Perth is definitely the best, he says so much with his facial expressions alone, that boy is talented! I hope to see him in more rolls in the future! :) This is still one of my all-time favorite series! I'm sad to see it end.
Initially I felt the same, but I think Mamose was attracted to Yoshiro. It was more like discovering and accepting…
I feel your pain, Tin and Can were perfect for each other. I'd like to think that as Can thinks about it overtime, maybe he'll reconcile with Tin and they will eventually end up together because I know Can cares about Tin, he's just confused and scared. Since there isn't going to be a season 2, that's how I choose to think of their relationship progressing after episode 14.
I like it when a drama can make me sad, but I hate it when it LEAVES me sad. As I've said to others on here lol, I don't watch FANTASY to get a bitter dose of reality. I watch romances to see happy endings that make me feel good and satisfied at the end. I'm trying to escape reality afterall lol, life is full of disappointment which is why fantasy should not be.
I actually really liked Bad Romance and TWM lol, but yeah they do have many flaws. I love Tul and Max so I'm bias haha. But yes, too much cheating to the point of it making me angry. Sure people make mistakes but it doesn't mean ALL of them have to make the same one in every series! It is kinda homophobic how gays/bis are depicted as cheaters whereas in straight romances to don't get that as often. And if someone does cheat in a straight romance, they are often the "villain" of the story whereas in BL they are the "hero" haha!!!
Giving someone false hope is the worst thing you can do, its why I absolutely HATED the conclusion of The Underwear Series. ALL except the gay romance had a happy ending and poor gay guy is left alone in the end, because his "straight" friend strung him along, giving him false hope. It made me so mad.
Hey I don't mind at all, I love these kind of convos where people are passionate about their opinions about BL and the like. I have been known to rant many a times myself haha!
Generally, BL isn't even that good tbh. Love By Chance is fine since it doesn't really attempt drama or any sort…
We all have our favorite genres and niches haha, but its good to hear it had a happy ending at least.
Sad endings aren't why I watch romances to begin with. Sure maybe it makes it more real, but I'm not looking for real. I'm trying to escape REAL, lmao! I want happy fantasy to reinvigorate my spirit!
Long Time No See is more like a movie than a series, and Korean films tend to have fighting in them haha, they like action movies. And yes a bad ending can sour an entire series, but I try to remember than most of the time, the series as a whole brought me joy so I try to judge it based on that. But yes a happy ending leaves me satisfied and joyful :).
Like age-gaps, I don't care for fake BL aka queerbait bromances haha. I haven't watched Fake Marriage so I don't quite know what that one is about. Love Simon had a happy ending, not the one I wanted because I don't like the plot of a mystery lover ya know? But when he came out to his parents and how REAL their reaction, nervousness and yet loving acceptance -- it brought me to tears. It was SOOOO well done!
I admit that I'm a sucker for first gay love coming of age films/series because its the moment that changes their life forever. But yes I would like to see more fleshed out gay romances where it doesn't only focus on the aspects of getting together. I think to an extent, SOTUS S and Together With Me 2 tries to accomplish this by showing the struggles after a relationship has been going on for a while. I forgive the minor cliches and tropes if the story overall is good and I enjoy what I'm watching, but yes some of it is WAY over the top haha, but sometimes extra can be good/funny too :P.
I try to reply to everyone, I'm busy so sometimes several days and even a week or two go by before I get a chance to reply but I eventually get around to it! haha I love chatting about BL since my BF doesn't really care for BL :/.
How can u tell that Guide like Runway in romantic way? So far there isn't sign or referred that Guide likes Runway
It may just be over-friendliness but it seemed there was a double-meaning to his words when he told Runaway not to lead people that like him on, especially the way he looked at Runaway when saying so. Guide has shown a closeness to him that is typically too affectionate for two guy friends, even gay/bi ones, imo. It may just be a cultural difference that I'm not used to but Guide's eyes brighten when him and Runaway talk with each other and shows genuine excitement when they meetup. He puts his hand on his shoulder alot too. Maybe its just a really close, loving Brother-like friendship they have and I'm reading too much into it. But Guide definitely likes Tanai, as he shared his interest to Runaway. Still I like Tanai's genuine affection for Runaway, which is one reason I kinda liked the idea of them being a couple.
Initially I felt the same, but I think Mamose was attracted to Yoshiro. It was more like discovering and accepting…
I absolutely LOVE AePete and that couple alone makes the series worth watching and rewatching, but I was TOTALLY shipping TinCan!!! OMG I'm so sad that it didn't workout, and of all the people that truly needed someone to love them, it was poor Tin! Its heartbreaking and I think an unfair conclusion since it looks like there will not be a season 2 which I'm devastated about.
So far I really like My Dream, sure its no LBC but there is a magical element to the story that makes it quite different from many BLs I've watched.
The Kiss series kinda bored me, but I only come for the BL so that was probably why lmao! Its not like Kiss Me Again. Hmm its weird that Kiss Me Again takes place BEFORE The Kiss and yet Kiss Me Again sounds like a sequel rather than a prequel haha!
Apparently they wanted to surprise us, like we're all humans and we all do make mistakes.... ... but hey, there…
Too true, and yeah it surprised me because its completely out of character! lol I was like, "Korn is a good boy, he'll stop just before the kiss... okay he kissed him but he'll stop befor..... NO KORN WHY!" Argg lol.
Even though Tanai may get a little too grabby, I feel so bad for him! He's in love with Runaway but Runaway doesn't like him in that way back :(. Guide seems to like both Tanai and Runaway, but seems to have mentioned threw innuendo that he knows Runaway, again, doesn't feel that way in return. Ugh, Runaway, you are surrounded by good-looking, caring guys who like you, INCLUDING Dream boy who you shun.... for now ;). And guide's older brother Good kissing male Elle hahaha! That's what you get for kissing a sleeping person! :P nah I thought I was really cute :). Man, to be honest I would like to see Tanai and Runaway together, but then Dream boy and Guide are left without someone so Dream and Runaway are best suited in that situation lol, he's the only one that can interact with him so far! Maybe make Dream boy real somehow? And I really like Guide so I don't want him to be alone, especially since it looks like his GF/ex GF is cheating on him.
Initially I felt the same, but I think Mamose was attracted to Yoshiro. It was more like discovering and accepting…
Eh me too, I get carried away sometimes haha. I don't try to attack or offend but I'm sure I sometimes do :/. I'm still waiting for English subs for eps 14. In the mean time I'm about to watch the last aired episode of My Dream :)
No Korn! You were the pure gay in this BL!!! Knock cheated on his girlfriend with you, Bright cheated on Farm, Farm is probably cheating on Rit at this very moment... BUT NOT YOU KORN! You were so faithful! We all make mistakes, I know. But it just doesn't seem in his character to do such a thing, even drunk! With Knock, yeah sure, but not Korn!
That review was extremely homophobic and sadly that is still a reality we have to face. The supposedly pearl-clutching…
LMAO! IKR!? I'm a gay guy and if this series had decided to have a love scene between Pond and ChaAm, would I then jump to my soap box and shout "NAY! NAY I SAY!" Lol we get straight love scenes ALL THE TIME in mainstream films and TV. I think this series did well and I'll continue to enjoy it when I next watch it again! :D
The veteran actor also had a younger girlfriend...also more than pushing the age-gap narrative, showing two quite…
Thank you for your detailed reply! Yeah I do sometimes feel alone in my opinion. I'm not trying to pass judgment or cause hurt.
The situation can always be exploited and that's what some people, in their quest to be ever "tolerant", sometimes forget. Its not that ALL older people who seek younger partners are predators, but the situation is often primed for the abuse, especially in the gay community.
I try to be open-minded and nuanced, but yes some people think that what I say is coming from a prejudice I have. Its hard to explain yourself to someone who's often already made up their mind haha.
I wish I could be more detailed in my reply but I'm just about to go to bed lol. I haven't been on here in a bit so I had to catch up haha.
I know, at first I thought it would be Bright that would be the problem, but he has seemed to have changed for…
Rit is definitely suspicious, but he's a good person and wanted to respect Farm's privacy and trust him. Yeah, we can only hope that no matter what happens, that it turns out well for innocent Rit in the end.
Generally, BL isn't even that good tbh. Love By Chance is fine since it doesn't really attempt drama or any sort…
Yeah I like how LBC gets into the relationship earlier on in the series, it made it so much more enjoyable :) The one's that REALLY drive me crazy are the ones that wait until the VERY END, or close to it, to actually spring the confession and so on lol.
History series are AMAZING! My favorite is Crossing Boundaries, then Obsession, then Stay Away from Me, and then My Hero. I like My Hero, I think so many people are either confused by it or don't like the body-swapping plot but it still ends as a true BL and I thought it was pretty funny. I didn't watch Right or Wrong because I don't care for age-gaps and I heard it had a sad ending anyways, lol don't care for those either. If an age-gap relationship is legal by law, I don't think it immoral. But it would be as interesting to me as a typical straight relationship would be. And being gay, I'm a little bias haha!
I loved, then hated Dark Blue and Moonlight mainly because I cannot STAND the main protagonist. He's not only a cheater, he's rude, condescending, hurtful and dishonest with his AMAZINGLY loyal, kind, gentle boyfriend. It was heartbreaking. Yeah China, South Korea and sometimes Taiwan (because they are Chinese ethnically :P) are the France of Asia when it comes to sad dramas. No happy ending for you!!! lol.
Honestly, even though my current and last boyfriend is South East Asian, I forget that they often look a lot younger than they actually are so sometimes it looks like a 35+ with a 15-17 y/o and it makes my skin crawl. I forgive most cliches in BL because they are usually minor things, and call me shallow, seeing a young guy with someone who looks like his father just don't interest me. Give me 2 young guys, 2 middle-aged guys, hell even 2 elders would be adorable! I guess peerage means a lot to me because seniority gives people power over juniors, ESPECIALLY in most Asian cultures. That's not an equal relationship.
Yeah South Korean films have too much rape but usually the guys survive in the end, but not always. My favorite South Korean BLs is Long Time No See and Night Flight. Chinese often kill, disfigure or break up the couples in the end. A few good Chinese BLs have slipped threw the cracks but most are heavily censored.
See I like a balance, I don't mind sex/love scenes. If done well, they can be one of the better parts of a BL. But during those scenes I'm usually like "awww thats adorable!". Not getting all hot and bothered haha! Hey I don't judge those that do but I watch BL to lighten the mood and lift my heart up. Probably why I don't like sad endings lol.
But yes, the way US depicts gays is typically not done well. They make gays often seem TOO sexualized to the point of being stupid haha. I think Asia/Europe/South America does a MUCH better job. Because in those BLs, gays blend in and seem like normal people. Now I don't disparage any free-spirit with flamboyance about them haha, but they are a minority in the community and yet over-represented in order to mock which isn't fair to them or the rest of us.
