Oh my word! I love episode 8, I'm still on HJP train until it crashed but I love Grandma, NDS, SDM, Samsan boys and Jung Sa-Ha character started to grow on me. Thank goodness that freaking lie about the letter have started to come out in the open. the plot have started to thicken and unravel slowly. As I said on my comment last week that I'm not ready to hate In-Jai because we haven't seen her back story and character development yet. Good on HJP for telling (neck pillow) Lady Director that SDM and WIJ are sisters, Good on NDS for telling Dal-mi that Grandma is going blind. I hate hate love triangle in a drama, looks like the writer is going there but I'm not sure. Maybe they will come up with a better plan/ plot twist. Post note: I love the Grandma and NDS moment and SDM Grandma moment. I was tearing up while watching it.

Sorry, the word toxic is too strong a word to describe HJP (poisonous). I know the yelling part doesn't help and he could be kinder in his approach but he doesn't sugarcoat the truth. He is curt and rough with the 3 boys but he also cares about them and their success. He even protected them from being scammed / get their ideas stolen. on another note, I learned a lot about NDS less ability to lead but he is just so kind hearted. He is always sensitive and has empathy. I love the part where he removed his Dad eyeglasses and put a blanket on him, you can tell that NDS is a caring person. He might be timid for now but I know there will be more character growth on the next episode. I love all the characters in this drama and I don't care who is shipping who. I just want them all to be happy. And for crying out loud! I want the web of lies to end and I want SDM and WIJ to end their pissing contest, I guess this is part of the plot to make the drama interesting. PS: I don't want anything happen to Grandma, she is my favorite character. I love her on the Hospital playlist as Rosa.

NDS head is in the cloud, he needs a reality check sometimes also he need to become a different version of himself to prove that he is worth it.

I agree with you, I think there's more to In Jae than meets the eye. A lot of ppl here are ready to judge and hate her character but I for one still waiting for her character development. We don't know her back story growing up, her choosing the Mom instead of Dad etc. but the part where she took credit that she's the girl on the swing, I don't know what's her poor excuse but to me that's just unacceptable. On the hand, SDL and WIJ have the same biological father growing up, she was probably telling the truth. Maybe at some point when she was a kid, her Dad also pushed her on the swing but not necessarily the same day/time as her sister.

It's supposed to be a one day lie according to SDM so that she can show off to her Mother and sister at the Networking party. HJP is willing to pay NDS 2,000 for Grandma's sake, they gave up the idea when NDS refused (that's a whole different story), NDS changed his mind later showed up at the party instead and he was smitten, gave Dal mi his calling card and the lie just snowballed from there. NDS even asked HJP to continue the charade.

Grandma shop opens at 8:00am closed at 8pm. That's what Grandma said the first time HJP and Grandma met.

Did anybody notice when Dal-Mi was putting ointment / band aid on Grandma's wound? Also the nurse at the hospital told Grandma that the eye drops would slow down her blindness but will not cure it. It's a telltale sign of diabetes. But I could be wrong. Hopefully I'm dead wrong because I don't want anything happen to Grandma. It would devastated SDM and HJP.

I totally agree with you, I think it's love at first sight for NDS and SDM. I could be wrong but I don't think HJP have any romantic feelings for SDM, more like a big brother, a protector maybe. Also, HJP unconsciously paying forward his debt to Halmoni? IMHO.

My favorite was "Korean National Anthem" conversation and the accidental bookstore meeting, that was priceless.

The clue: HJP revised SDM presentation/notes when SDM was about to go on stage, HJP handwriting was on SDM notes/presentation. Ding! Ding! Ding!

the King Eternal Monarch was the worst drama of 2020. Record of Youth started to nose dive pretty much on episode 9 or 10.

The bus station/ride going to Seoul when young HJP was crying a river, I was crying with him and I felt his pain. That's probably the time he realized that somebody give a damn about him and the first time he felt he was loved unconditionally by someone not necessarily a family, and that was Halmoni.

Why would you want to skip episode 4 and 5? You can watch it later when you binge watch the drama. One of the best episode IMHO. It was funny and I love the guys bromance and DM too.

I look forward to seeing how the story is going to unfold and personally I liked the plot... I love all the characters.
