I personally like her acting. Not the best, but not the worst either. I've seen much worse acting before. "Why did they have to cast her" - that really sounds like you have some prior disliking to the actress. She auditioned for it, and hence she got chosen. I'm sure she didn't put the casting team on gun point to get the role...
