Wow, just because someone doesn't agree with the lifestyle doesn't mean they are deserving of your remarks - bullying…
I don't agree with the straight lifestyle either, we're on the same page
Homophobes should have left gay people and their stories alone. They can't censor gay stories, demand that gay people hide in the closet, and get mad that we call them out for it. They are complaining about getting bitten by a bear after they poked it with a stick. You asked for it, literally
You call it bullying, we call it educating the ignorant
Since you are appalled by the drama, please find another drama to watch (one that you enjoy and is not censored)…
Romance stories are primarily written by and for women
Are you going to rename straight stories to "fetish stories written by women for women?" Apparently any story about two people falling in love is a fetish now?
BL/gay stories are that, stories about men falling in love. They're not a fetish any more than straight stories are a fetish
I'll give you a tip: shaming women for their non-straight creative expressions and media consumption habits won't make you the cool kid on the block. It makes you a jerk. Focus on your own media habits and anti-BL fetishes. You're so obsessed with putting down BL and women who enjoy BL that you're getting off on it
another person who cant read argumentsUntamed was from china, they censor not only censor this, but even a flower…
It is queer-baiting. The adaptation censored the queer elements of the story to appeal to homophobes, and maintained enough bromantic content to appeal to BL fans
I haven't watched the show, I tend to wait till they are over to binge them but I just had a question after reading…
"Is it because it's expected from China but not Korea?"
Yes, please remember that Korea is a democracy. A fundamental part of democracy is the recognition and protection of the rights and freedoms of all citizens, including marginalized groups (gay people, women, POC, disabled people, etc). Democratic governments or industries might engage in homophobic censorship or discriminatory practices, and that doesn't make it right. In a democratic society, we should expect a higher standard of freedom of expression, representation, and equality
We were disappointed by the censorship in "The Untamed," but we had zero expectations for freedom of expression in mainland China. The Chinese Communist Party censors everything that challenges their narrative

One side is advocating for the respect of gay stories and characters. The other is deliberately trying to provoke and inflame tensions
Both sides have engaged in heated rhetoric, I agree, but one is doing so in defense of a marginalized community. The other is doing it for kicks to get a rise out of us. Do you see the difference?

I'm not "insulting" you. I'm accurately labeling your behaviors
These people have openly stated their intent is to provoke us and stir up trouble to "give the drama more publicity," which is classic troll behavior (scroll down)
It walks like a troll, talks like a troll, and openly admits to being a troll, then it's a troll

I didn't have time to be graceful, there was a troll to call out, you see. I'm not Mother Teresa. I'm more of a Joan of Arc with a keyboard
Also, the word "fuck" isn't a personal attack on someone's character like the words "dumb," "delusional," or "deranged." Those insults (that perpetuate negative stereotypes about people with disability or mental illness) are a whole other level of nastiness you and other commenters were guilty of using

Subtle emotions and actions can be powerful in their own right, but gay stories deserve to be told in all their complexity, and to be represented as fully as any other kind of story
I don't get why there is particular outrage over this drama? There are many dramas that are censored adaptations…
"There are many dramas that are censored adaptations of same-sex original work"
This is why we are outraged. We are sick and tired of seeing gay stories getting censored
Censored adaptations often originate from China, where gay content is banned. Korea doesn't have laws forbidding gay content. The producers' decision to censor a gay work for personal reasons is all the more infuriating and a greater cause for outrage
Its so funny how youys think a few comments from my dramalist will turn this drama into a huge hit. Am enjoying…
A comment section is a forum for people to complain or compliment
Our complaints might be dampening your enthusiasm, I get you, and I'd like to propose that we strive for coexistence, where both sides are free to express themselves. You'd be free to enjoy a drama, others would be free to not enjoy it
I will probably stop commenting on this soon but I want to explain a little bit more on why the removal of the…
I usually enjoy bromances. Even then, I can't condone the production company's decision to censor a gay story in this manner. There's a difference between bromances and those that are the result of censorship. The latter feels forced and artificial
The toxicity from the fans of this drama made it clear to me that I don't want to be a part of such a hostile fandom
Thank you for putting into words the frustration I felt, and for representing the community so thoughtfully and effectively

Do you prefer "delusional?" I can go with that, because I'm not the one pretending not to be a troll. That's a special kind of delusion

Please read the novel before commenting on the story
If you don't like seeing your behaviors reflected back at you, check yourselves before you wreck yourselves

To break the cycle, both sides should acknowledge that Korea was wrong to enforce censorship. Until we reach a consensus, the debate will continue
