SZ doesn't fall in love with DJX at 14 (atleast in this drama not sure about novel/manga). She has even mentioned wanting him to be her brother as he is warm/nice to her than her own lol.
Only at 16, she realizes she had fallen in love with him but gives up thinking he has a girlfriend.
At 18 again, thinking DJX treats her like a sister she decides to think of him as a brother.
Even if they get into a relationship later, I don't think it is inappropriate anywhere be it 5 or 7 year age difference
