Okay, a little detail that I didn’t like as well. The scene at the orphanage. Tong interrupting Tonkla was kinda rude. You don’t interrupt other people (especially older ones in Thailand), it’s a sign of disrespect. Don’t know why scriptwriters decided to go that way. May be to add up even more to Tonkla’s frustration, so it would seem more logical for him to turn to Nakan.
Epis. 8 SPOILERS! I'm here just to show my love for Tonkla (yes, ghostship Nakan/Tonkla all the way - with KinnPorsche vibes, pls - bad guy turning into a good /grey one ☺️). First of all, no one should trust their friends 100% without thinking. What if your friend joins a cult and considers it a good idea? Would you agree with them, huh? Tonkla has doubts about Mark, who he doesn’t know well, and nobody wants to clarify things to him – everybody just tells him “later”, which doesn’t help🤪 It just seems to Tonkla that Tong and Mark don’t care about his opinion and don’t trust him. Also his friend has always been by his side, and now Tong’s always with some other dude, Tonkla probably feels very lonely. It’s like he’s lost his best friend, and it’s utterly upsetting. Besides, Tonkla didn’t see what Nakan had done. I doubt that Tong or Mark told him about the resort case as well. Basically, Tonkla only had positive interaction with Nakan, and he has to trust his friend's words (who might be mistaken) and Mark, who is only interested in Tong and rarely interacts with Tonkla. Don’t forget that at first Tonkla does listen to Tong & Mark and tries to avoid Nakan, saying that he won’t believe him. However, everything bad happens at the same time, which leads to emotions that build up playing a trick with Tonkla. The best friend, who promised to tell him the truth, is hiding something again, the teacher Nuan is hit by a car, Mark is violently beating up some people, Tong not clarifying things to Tonkla and letting him go, staying with suspicious Mark (a person they have met not so long ago). Well, I would be heartbroken and pissed too😣 It’s not surprising that he thinks: “Nobody cares about me, nobody trusts me, nobody needs me now. I might as well just go with Nakan, I don’t care anymore”. Indeed, to Tonkla Nakan doesn’t seem like a bad guy – he treated him well, he didn’t force him to do anything, he is the only “person” to care when everyone else lets him go. At the moment he acts on emotions. He just needs someone to talk to (he probably can’t talk to Dome and Pupae bout this stuff; and they are not so close, I guess). We didn’t see that Mark/Tong explained Tonkla about Nakan being able to hypnotize and how he does it exactly – that’s probably why Tonkla was so shocked when Mark was trying to check him (well, the way Mark was doing it was too harsh as well – grabbing the man by his neck). Anyhow, Tonkla doesn’t trust Nakan more than Tong or Mark. He just wants answers. And he wants someone who can listen to him calmly. In the heat of the moment he decides that if Tong & Mark don’t want to cooperate, he might try to communicate with Nakan, who never treated him badly, actually. Calling Tongkla stupid or annoying for his emotions is straight up unfair. For me he is the most realistic character in this TV series, sorry not sorry😳 By the way, I didn’t offence Mark or Tong, although I think that there are many things that they could have done differently. I’m just saying that most of the time all characters have their valid points of view/feelings. And sometimes it’s okay to be foolish, because humans are humans. You can’t be perfect. Being adult is about understanding that everybody is different with different experience, feelings and mental health. BTW, writing this I didn't take into consideration the fact that the script is... not written that well.
