I haven't seen it yet but really is it moving that fast? :(
I have seen it and it kinda makes me wonder if all jocks/punks act like XHT with his child-like antics and reactions of happiness. I mean I understand their roles are high school students, but did it have to be a silly one?
I was also expecting a different (or rather better) reaction from the ex-girlfriend too. I figured she would have been like "{Omg...] *gasps* So the person that you said you liked when you broke up with me was YXG?!" or something similar to being surprised, but still supported or something. Except, she was just glad she broke up with him because... He now likes boys? He is now bisexual? He is now _____?
Anyways... Like I said before... FILLER EPISODES!!! The sad part is that episode 11/12 is going to be ending in a cliffhanger...
I haven't seen it and I'm already pissed off ...... There was barely any angst so far, YXG and XHT haven't dated…
XHT and YXG might be not be dating by your standards, but for Asians, just a small gesture of kindness is already enough to signify the initiation of "dating". As Sayd had mentioned to you already, XHT has already start targeting YXG. YXG on the other hand did back away from the first kiss and said that he doesn't like boys, but he hasn't exactly stop XHT's advances either...
My theories about XHT and YXG (the drama is not that deep or well written so one of these things will happen for…
Well... I'm sorry, but this BL isn't made from China so the last scenario you mention will probably mostly likely not happen... If anything, XHT will probably try to get top marks in school again along side YXG, and then two of them will go to the same university if not separate ones...

No um... ^^; So, this is my take on the whole plot development issue... Also, my apologies for any grammatical issues in the paragraphs as I was writing this kinda late at night... In any case, enjoy the TL;DR! XD
Basically, the reason why the plot of the series seems to be moving too fast is because we never got any kind of flashback or recap from the incidents of the previous episode (5 & 6). immediately, at the beginning of episode 7 & 8, we see a sad/depressed XHT that we thought he was thinking about YXG, but it turns out that he was just thinking about himself and being sorry for himself. What happened between XHT & YXG before that? What did XHT do or say after YXG knelt down on his knees apologizing to XHT? How did XHT even feel when that happened?
Following that, we just see him break up with his girlfriend abruptly in the next scene. Not to mention that in the previous/beginning scene, one of the main points of the conversation he was having with his sister was about being considerate of others. All he said to his ex-girlfriend (at this point) was "We can't be with each other anymore. I like someone else...", but that was it. He didn't even say sorry to her. Roughly translated, he basically just said... "Bye Felicia!" Some consideration... He could have at least bought her a cup of tea or hot chocolate or something...
Then later, we just see XHT escorting YXG home again after school... Just like that? They're friends again? Does YXG not feel angry or upset about what happened? Does he not feel embarrassed or humiliated by what XHT did? All we see his XHT taking care of YXG again without any conversation between the two of them about what happened last night at the nightclub/bar. Furthermore, YXG just willing accepts the morning breakfast gifts and gets easily pulled away during the lunch our for a private date. Does that boy really bounce back that fast? Literally, it's as if they're a commercial for instant "boyfriend" ramen without the cup...
There is more to this than what I've said so far, but I'm gonna give the benefit of the doubt by leaving that reasoning to the director's choices/decisions. Yes, the relationship between them is moving a bit fast, but perhaps they did that for budget reasons. The other reason that they're also probably trying to get to the climax as quickly as possible because we're almost reaching the middle of the series while also making enough room for the character development of two couples. As said by someone else earlier, this series is also titled as "Miracle" which case it could indicated some kind of terrible event or something. Also, another thing worth mentioning involving all this discussion about character and plot development are the couples in the previous HIStory3 series from "Trapped". If anyone remembers correctly, Jack and Zhao Zi rarely had any interactions at all and there development basically skyrocketed from a small admiration to a full on courtship from Jack's side while Zhao Zi just played the naive hungry rabbit...
Anyways... I'm looking forward to the spaghetti and meatball event between XHT and YXG, but hopefully, we'll get more character and plot development until that happens... [Disney's Lady & the Tramp reference]
He's the type that never even think about romance/sex, so he'll probably find sexual orientation irrelevant to…
The concept with HIStory is that... "things just happen" and so... "that's just how things are"... In a way, this somewhat reminds me of my own life experiences and how I came to the realization of being (or rather always was) gay.
I was in first or second grade when there was this boy in my class who had a rats tail and I thought it was cool that he had one, but that wasn't all... I also thought he looked good/pretty. If I remember correctly, my relatives were talking about how cute/pretty my cousin looked in which that they're hairstyle what they were wearing looked "pretty cute".
Now, my understanding back then was that the idea of cuteness and prettiness was usually associated with girls so I could really say that he was pretty. However, as the conversation went on, I think one my cousins or elders had mentioned about a boy being/looked cute. And that was when I had a revelation that perhaps cuteness isn't just limited to girls. And so that was when I spoken out loud about a boy being/looking cute.
And so leading to recent/present times (or past depending on how you look at it...) where people would question others about gayness being either nature or nurture or both... This would be the [MYstory] that I would tell about my life as I remember it where "it just happens to be how things are..."
This show isn't subbed by fans, isn't it ? Since the episodes are subbed the moment they are released on Viki...
Long story short, this is why I despise localization and the teams that do it... Lost in translation my butt... BECOME MORE FLUENT!!! >.>
I say this because the translations that I would read for Naruto anime series (even though I don't really know a lot of Japanese) seems more convincing than the translations I've seen for these drama series... I really don't speak Mandarin Chinese very fluent or understand all of it very well either, but I could still sometimes pick out a wrongly translated sentence when I see one. Almost half the time, I would see the translations written out in proper grammar and then rearranged so that the Subject-Verb agreement is correct, but in most cases, it doesn't have to be written properly because doing so would change the meaning...
For instances, this sentence...
可能有問題
Would sometimes be translated as...
"[Looks like] something bad has happened..."
When it really could/should just be read as...
"[There is probably/definitely -or- Looks/Seems like there is] a problem..."
As you can see, depending on how something is translated gives off a different effect. This is also why I don't watch English dubbed anime anymore either. It's just not same if it's not the original sometimes...
