The party scene was a hidden/deleted scene that was cut so we didn't see it. If it was part of the episode, it would have been when Gord and Morn was sitting alone at that other table when Gord was telling Morn to eat the birthday cake with the "Marshmallow" ice cream.
SPOILER ALERT... In case anyone doesn't understand what this series it's about, it's about two boys in a BL drama series promoting an advertisement for soymilk and ice cream. Yes... It's all about the Lactesoy and "Marshmallow" ice cream... =P

I think you also have to understand that the two of them aren't actually boyfriend+boyfriend at that point. Ae first mentioned that he probably liked Pete more than just a friend at the end of episode 5 and kissed him. This was because of the incident that happened in the hotel when Ae woke up sleeping on Pete's chest and realized that the "softness" he was feeling was not a pillow.
Pete didn't admit to Ae that he liked him until episode 6 after trying to avoid him because he wanted Ae to be normal and not have to deal with the problems that Pete has to deal with from being a gay person. Though in this case, I'm guessing Ae would be more of a bisexual at this point assuming that Ae also likes girls, but because of the incidents that has happen by "accident", he had began to develop feelings for Pete over the course of their "chance" encounters.
And so with episode 7, this when the two of them now knowing how they feel about each other finally ties the not. Ae who can't take it any longer for Pete to accept his feelings for him, and Pete who finally stops suppressing his only feelings for Ae and loves him back.
As for Ae's possessiveness towards Pete, for some people it's cute and sweet and for others it's not. Pete probably likes Ae being a bit protective against others that get too close to him and Ae probably wants Pete to only be close to him especially at this early stage of their relationship because their finally dating now. Depending on who the person is, some people prefer the undivided attention that their lovers give them and other people rather still rather have their own personal space so that they can do what they want without having someone being overbearing or patronizing. Whether or not Ae because too overly possessive and protective is still yet to be seen, but from the behavior they have towards each other that we have seen so far looks fine to me because all it really just looks like is that Ae loves Pete and Pete loves Ae.

Well... the unfortunate thing would be that there probably aren't many Chinese viewers out there that are willing to do so... Not surprising given the state of their government and society...
