the detective is married it was the man that was delivering food for her and her partner in the beginning of the movie the one she spoke with on the phone actor lee moo saeng i assume she cant have children given how she apologized to him and was affected by IU giving her son away. and she ended up taking care of the kid eventually and waiting for his mom to come

its the opposite the detective afopts woosung, and the couple keeps visiting as they lost their right for afoption due to the illegal deal and they are under observation

i think he did it to save the kid, cause he was insiting on giving him to the wife

so if they were both kidnapped and she seemed to have forgotten and so, the grandma did seem to know about it so why not report the man who did it?
