r u serious injoo like you KNOW that the orchid is fcked up and has hallucinogenic properties couldn't you have…
I have already complained about this specific point about the orchid. I am 100% convinced she is not the one who killed her aunt, but all these plot conveniences are starting to really annoy me. E6 lost the series at least one star for me.
Quick opinion on the the 3 sisters at mid point: In Joo: the worst from writing pov. Her behaviour is inconsistent, and she seems to be a walking plot conveniences. I do have sympathy with her character as a person though. She is in a very tough spot. And, although irrelevant to the drama itself, MY GOD! Kim Go Eun is VERY beautiful.
In Kyung; She is probably the best character. She is consistent. Her actions make sense, regardless whether you agree or not with her, and she is fighting a good fight.
In Hye: maybe unpopular opinion, but I also think she is consistent, and her behaviour makes sense and in line with her motives. She is very annoying and ungrateful to her sisters, but she is good as a believable character.
I have a feeling that the writer just sacrificed the eldest sister believability for plot purposes.
Hmm. This is starting to resemble a Harlan Coben mystery. You start with the present, and it all ends up with some very old story in the past. I must say that I am starting to get annoyed though. In Joo behaviour is very inconsistent. On one hand she is plotting and scheming to take them down and fully aware of the orchid role. On the other hand she takes the orchid and inhale it fully knowing its properties on top of the fact that it was given to her by a suspecious person. That just doesn't make sense. This is another plot convenience. In Joo didn't kill her aunt. I am pretty sure it was someone else, and she was just sleep walking. This orchid starting to resemble magic now lol. At least there are only 6 more episodes, so I can hold on, but for me the show is getting worse.
Sorry to go on a tangent, but if you liked the movie The Handmaiden( Personally I liked it a lot. I watched in Cinema), then try to catch the 2005 BBC mini-series (3 episodes) Fingersmith, which is the adaptation of the book (awsome book, but if you know the events it takes away a lot of it). The Handmaiden movie is not an identical adaptation of the book, so the BBC series will still be worth watching if you have access.
I don't know why but this is what i thought since ep1 after they showed Hwa Young's death. I think she is not…
I also think there is a very high chance that she is not dead. Your second point is the strongest argument. But, even though I will not be surprised if she is alive, I will be disappointed.

Hmm. I still think there are better places to hide the money, but tbh it is not something I want to keep debating. However, you make an excellent point about the apartment and her plan to give it to her Aunt. I fully agree with you on that front.

I never had so much money in my life (even when I convert that to Pounds) lol, so I don't have ready answers. Also, I don't know Korea. But, there are other places where you can get safety boxes. You can even buy your own safe. And even if you are going to leave them in a Yoga/Gym. At the very least, leave it in a different one.

I don't think her character is badly written. And I don't want her to be badass. I actually like how characters are written. There is a good deal of reality to them. However, I think her carrying the money around was just a plot convenience for her to be caught early on. She might not be a badass, but she is not totally stupid, and I think Choi has already told her what to do with the money. There are other things like that, but, as I said, I am happy to go with it. They are not very convincing, but they have a degree of plausibility. I don't look for water tight plots in these type of shows. I think the show is doing many good things, and the acting is very good. It is enjoyable, so I am happy to let few things slide.
Totally random. Gong Min Jung (the rival reporter) was such a sweet and supportive friend in Hometown Cha Cha Cha. She is not quite evil, but not nice and manipulative here.

Love your comment about Squid Game. Hahaha I must say that moving money around in backpack or leaving them in Yoga club is very very dumb. I think this is the writer's fault. But, this is a show that one has to be little bit tolerant to enjoy. To be fair, most shows of similar nature (no matter the country) have similar plot holes.
Wong Sang A is actually Hwa Young who had major plastic surgery. She said she wanna have a perfect face. And the…
That is wild! lol I don't dismiss that Hwa Young might still be alive (I would be rather disappointed if this happens), but it doesn't make sense that she is the mother.
I was watching until 30 minutes of ep 1... should I continue watching? I enjoy it so far, but there are mixed…
After 4 episodes, I think it is worth watching. Of course there are some plot holes, and sometimes you just have to go with it (to be fair, almost all shows have these), but it is a good one.
i don't think so. They give me such a "Getaway car" by Taylor Swift vibe. Maybe they just are close to get the…
I am a bit too old for Taylor Swift, so I don't know the song, but I get the sentiment of your message :) Tbh, I would be impressed if they don't end up with each other. It would be refreshing for the leads not to have a romantic relationship (I have nothing against Romance. I watch it and enjoy it). I think the more likely scenario is that the get the money, but they don't keep it, But, i still think they will end up with a joint account lol. The question is how big? :)
Episode 3 Let's split 60/40 ..few seconds later Just to be c;ear, I get the 60% This had me laughing. I don't think there is a need to squabble about percentages. I have a feeling that the whole 100% will end up in a joint account lol
it says it's adapted from the novel little women, which is one of my all time favourite books, but the trailer…
I haven't read the book, but saw many adaptations and all were very similar to each other. This is nothing like them. I am even willing to go as far as to say false advertising. Telling a story of sisters doesn't make it Little Women. All that said, the show is really good, and if you like some mystery mixed with social issues then you will probably like it. The story is engagging, the acting is good, and the overall production values are high.
I think one of the drama's main mistake is to have used the same title as the book that got adapted many times…
You are SO right. The title is 100% disaster imo. It is much better for people to ignore your show than to bring them to it on a false pretense. They will just be mad. There is also the other category, where I fall in. When I saw the tiitle, I thought this was just a Korean remake of the classics, so I wasn't interested because I have already watched 2 movies, series, and cartoon when I was young. I didn't want to watch another adaptation. But, then out of curiosity I watched a review, and discovered this is really a totally different show, and decided to try. I was hooked by end of E1, and now I will watch it. I don't know who is responsible for the title, but they need to some serious talking to.
The first few episodes were excellent! Up to third, maybe half, was still enjoyable. The second arc was totally needless. By the end I was utterly bored and almost all the joy I had at the beginning disappeared. 5/10
🕴The only people i found interesting were Ms. Choi and jin yoo hee the FL was bland and dare i say annoying😭She…
I agree, but I also think that the FL reaction is exaggerated rather than totally unrealistic. People often forgive their spouses/partners and blame it on the person they cheated with. I found the biggest problem with the script. The antagonist is really good, but is not matched with equally good protagonist. There were no clever or smart moves.
