What was so great about the scene you mentioned also is that she had told NM3 to not comfort people unless they want it. She was sitting there crying and she didn't explicitly say she wanted to be comforted which means he overrode the rule and comforted her anyway!

I don't know if I have sympathy necessarily for him yet, but I'm willing to give the story time to teach us about why he acts the way he does! It'll be interesting to learn whether NS is "bad" as some defense mechanism or something or whether he's just actually like that! We still know almost nothing about NS so I'm super excited to finally see him in the drama!
