For those asking, you can watch s2 without watching s1 first and you won't feel lost or anything. However, I recommend you watch s1 so you can compare between yumi w/ woong and yumi w/ babi . There are really subtle differences that helped me realize why babi imo is better than him. Now that woong could be a part of s2, I think you would need to know what his character was like in the 1st season and see if he has really changed or not. ( and ofc understand why they broke up in the first place)
They may show some of their scenes as flashbacks but the thing is , there wasn't a specific action that was the sole reason of their breakup ! they started drifting apart over a couple of episodes dt multiple small actions/words so you will be missing a lot in that sense. S1 was fun and although we all liked woong in the beginning, you will understand why they broke up ( and imo should never ever get back together)
it is in Webtoon, Woong will meet Yumi several of times until he becomes rich. too perfect to be true ~ the best…
Nooo I had hoped it would be a one time thing 💔 I kinda disliked him after what he did in the 1st season. I have seen comments saying that babi could be endgame cuz they used some of the 3rd guy (&final webtoon lead) for him. But till now, this means they are really following the webtoon then...well I guess just like woong's case, they' ll show us why they must breakup.
Are they supposed to bring woong back ? was that originally in the webtoon ?? I was really surprised when I saw him.....
Also I can't imagine how babi would break yumi's heart TT there is seriously a huge difference between him and woong, with woong you could tell from the beginning that there would be troubles...but with babi it's so perfect !!!!
He died and they met in the afterlife. There, she told him to go back and that he had to be a king but as soon as he put his hand on the door he remembered that deok im was actually dead and that if he opened the door he would go back to a life without her. That's why he turned around and stayed with her and "that moment became an eternity". It's so beautifully heartbreaking 🥺🥺
Re: hand. Yes, I've been wondering why we had so many close-ups of hands in recent episodes. Is it significant,…
There was an article about it here, that was a symobolism for who has the "upper hand" between coach kim and seo jin... ( "upper hand " was seojin's line -I think- in that episode) . We can't even BLINK while watching or we will miss such subtle yet powerful symbols lol
After reading theories, I am convinced that last scene will happen after 2 years (also that means no happy ending for hye na...I never really liked her so I am cool with such ending ) but now what's that talk that woojoo could be the killer ?????? Or that he is not what he seems....I saw ppl speculating that he is hurting himself with cuTters too ????!! Thinking about it we never really got to the backstory of his father and him and how he was raised. Now I am scared that even the father has a dark secret.
About coach kim : So kay who was a genius at only 9 , feeling pressured by her mom to be the top , could have tampered with the brakes of the car intending to kill off her entire family including herself but she ended up suffering from brain damage and coach kim survived. So when coach kim found out about her doing , that's when she became scary as she is now. What she is doing is that she is looking for a reenactment of her life with every single student she teaches. Mothers obsessed with college exams (like herself) smart students ( like her daughter) and she makes them HATE their mothers or as in youngjae's case drive them to suicide ( her daughter tried to kill her ) and once the ending she wants happens, she finds another family and repeats the same thing. ( notice she gave ga eul's contact number to young jae even after it was all over because at that time his mother hadn't fully became what she wanted , so she stirred things up to get a satisfying end ) Maybe that was all her trying to "normalize" the action her daughter did.
THIS WRITER IS A GENIUS , I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH MINDBLOWING PLOT IN MY KDRAMA LIFE.
I wonder what would have happened if the poor guy that got the scholarship didn't get kicked out by the Empress…
I actually think that's what she does every time new students are picked for scholarships...notice how she naturally glanced at her assistant to pick that one out for her, it looks like she has done that before so apparently it's a part of the "deal". SO FREAKIN CREEPY !!
I just love this movie sooo much TT I remember I downloaded it and had it on my laptop for months before deciding to finally watch it, and I regretted not watching it earlier ! Till this day, I still go back to watch my fav scenes TT Can anyone recommend sth at least half as good as this one ?? TT
I can't believe I'm saying this but I ship Sunny with Lee Hyuk ABZHS ZJS JSSBJS KILL ME but whenever he goes back…
Yesss !! If only he wasn't such a psycho.... I have always been a fan of bad leads becoming good for the sake of female lead, but that one is just straight from hell and deserves to die for his actions tbh. but..but... in those scenes he is so cute UGHHH
I think both are possible suspects because their family will take the fall for what the grandmother was going…
It turns out its the mother...DAMN SHE IS THE MOST EVIL OUT OF THEM ALL !! apparently she was the one who stabbed her, I guess I ll understand more when its subbed but maybe it was her plan from the beginning to poison the food sunny made to kill grandmother and frame sunny like you said..but her plan changed on the spot,i guess grandmother said mean things to her or sth , so she just stabbed her. The huge plot hole is still as it is, that no one investigated the blood and they all concluded cause of death to be poison.
The scene where sunny fell and wang shik caught her was so funny xDDD the look on the emperor's face and him pretending to be exercising had me on the ground lol if only he wasn't such a psychopath sighhh. One thing i didn't get tho, did hyuk kill grandma or was it his mom ? ( could it be that his mother poisoned her before he stabbed her so cause of death was actually poison ? But why do i feel that his mother manipulated him into thinking HE was the one who killed her ? Grandma was also covered in blood when sunny found her , I wonder why the police didn't investigate into that or even comment about it ? ?)
such great actors and actresses TT the plot is really out of this world !! Finally We ll get coach kim's backstory next episode, i am so excited ????????????????
I stayed up late to watch all the episodes.. AND AM SO GLAD I DID !!! It's actually the good kind of makjang , It's not boring at all , solid acting and AMAZING cliffhangers. I can't wait for next episodes <3 <3
