I agree with Ian_Ian's reply. I think maybe its just not the OPs cup of tea. Speaking personally I am not a big fan of historical chinese dramas, I can actually say until I've watched this I had no interest. I got hooked by the spoilery trailer (when I was at a loose end drama-wise and it was featured on this site) and when I was assured that it was a HE that's when I started it. Definitely liked it off my own merit thanks ever so. Comments like this just lazily assumes that the people who liked this drama are stupid and have no opinions of their own. That's insulting. One can have different tastes and opinions. Don't bellitle someone for not liking what you like. Honestly...

watched it twice in the space of a week. 1st time just normal speed and 2nd time with the prodigious use of the rewind button to savor my favourite scenes.Oh god its soooo good!

I've now seen a good number of wuxia/xianxia and yet still to find better wigs than the ones here. The wigs are strong in this one :DD

One could no have wished for a better Kenshin Himura...he was so perfectly casted and he did the job so well. He's amazing!

I love this list. Thanks for putting it together. I gotta admit only 3 out of all this has got me super stoked! Fullmetal Alchemist (because OMG one of the best manga I've ever read in my life, I literallyhave been waiting for this moment for 15 years) is a no brainer. I don't even care about the dodgy wig. Once Upon a Time (as I'm fresh off Eternal Love hangover and I really want to see how this stacks up against the amazing drama adaptation) and Reset trailers looks amazing (Yang Mi is a great actress and sci-fi/thriller is right up my alley)

One of my all time favorite mangas, I remember reading this as it was scanlated every week and I remember crying so so much over Ed and Al, I have so much feels and I swear I will love this adaptation as much as I've loved every other FMA adaptation no matter how this turns out.

If you haven't already watched it check out Eternal Love, I cannot recommend it enough. I wrote a review detailing exactly why but if you're still not convinced I can guarantee you will fall for the characters specially Ye Hua and it has a

When you think about it, it takes effort to be a troll.I personally don't have the energy unless I really hate something or feel like I wasted my time with it (I did rate 'Behind Your Smile' pretty low, but I had strong feelings about wasting 12/13 hrs of my life thinking it was going to get better.) Anyway points for effort, but no matter what this little niche of the interwebs say its not going to change how great the acting was and how beautifully this drama was executed.

Kudos to Kayvid002 for amazing editing. I've never teared up over a fanvid before but 'Kiss Me' by Ed Sheeran has never sounded as good as it does with Ye Hua/Qian Qian's top moments. This vid made me realise how good Mark Chao is at kissing! :)

Dropped at Episode 10! This drama made me realise I just wasted 10 hours of my life when there are 70 other shows on my Plan to Watch list. Jesus Christ on a fiddle stick...couldn't stand how immature this whole thing was. I've seen better romance/revenge plots on a Harlequin/Mills & Boon novels. Better characters too.
Total miscast. It's easy to blame the actors but they were fine, the storyline was just a shambles and the main leads just didn't compliment each other at all. Separately they are both attractive people, together they just didn't fit. I would have put the actress playing the spy/bff as the main female lead and the main actress as the Vet (she complimented the brother). The characters were just OTT and the way its filmed is just a confused muddle (does itwant to be a melo, rom com or a comedy?)
To be fair I've just finished the excellent and emotional 'Secret' and am still obsessing over the transcendent Eternal Love. If you want to waste your time on this feel free but honestly watch Secret for your Melo-revenge kick instead or alternatively pick up a Harlequin novel.

Haha what a coincidence, I was reading this blog at the same time as I was watching the show, definitely made the experience even more enjoyable.
Yeah, I didn't get the unrelenting dislike of the DH/FJ paring either.
