I disagree with the ost. Not to be boastful, I have talent on musical aspect. TOOL main ost was common for me. I already heard it somewhere, just like a copycat on other disney songs, no offense it was good too. Whereas YAMG was pure soulful to me. It was like reminiscing something beautiful in the past that you already forgot what it was about.

I have watched several dramas for many years and I'm so strict with my ratings yet this is the only drama I gave a perfect 10, totally deserving.

Looking at her ratings. She loves fantasy dramas or a heavier one with a sense of friendship like Boys over flowers and Cinderella and 4 Knights. Totally different to YAMG.

That one is a heavy drama maybe you should prepare yourself for that.😅

Hmm I doubt about that. WRTW just finished filming and it's so early for the promotion. But I also think the cp promotion for it will be lesser than YAMG because it's a custome drama.

Do you know why this drama is not overrated? Because people are awake. They've seen this drama as healing to humanity. Let's face life. It's slow because we are in a process of growing, living. We have dreams for ourselves for other people as we are living in the real world where relationships goes on some may toxic or healthy. We know the world is not getting better. Here, YAMG just showed how we wish life should be. How great it is to have understanding, respect, goals, love and passion? It is an ideal story yet a mirror of reality. Personally, I'm so envious of Yutu because he knows his direction with his life. How satisfying it is to not give up on something? How lucky someone can be to meet significant other who believes in him/her? How wonderful life could be if good communication was build? You Are My Glory answers all of that. If only we have what the story implied, we will all live happily. Now, I rest my case for a drama that's 'overrated' to be called on.

Right also people should not easily say overrated when a lot of viewers actually love the drama. The top comment said it herself, it's about personal preferences so no need to say something that's downgrading this drama.

Yes, you are in the minority (litte). You don't like this calm type of drama about dreams and reality and I beg to disagree that the show didn't rely on the actors pretty face and fame. No matter how popular the actors if the drama failed to capture the audiences heart, it will be forgotten as time goes by. YAMG will surely memorable for those who understand its message. It's not also overrated because most people here are loving or liking this drama. I rarely see this kind of comments here tbh. I found out that you rated A Love So Beautiful a high rate tho that and this drama are same type of genre but YAMG is more mature and natural. Lastly, I know whoever they cast as leads, this drama will still hit because of the novel itself and how it will move the heart of viewers.

Yes, when you go to Tencent app YAMG eps. there are many comments on it compared to other dramas (popular ones) even those that finished long time ago. Proves the discussions are active even in weibo and supertopics.

I'm not from China but what you said is true. FIYS is popular internationally but recieved a huge backlash in China because they said the drama didn't respect the esport community. Its douban ratings is 2. something. YAMG is more hype than any drama as of the moment because of its stars, cameos, and the novel itself. It was being praised by esport community and aerospace as well. But I can say that FIYS is more popular internationally because it catered younger viewers whereas YAMG is for more mature audience. Also people didn't understand the aerospace stuffs and the game, the reason why there are some who commented that it was boring for them. All in all for views and breaking records YAMG is far ahead and also popular internationally.
