I watched this after psychopath diary and I have to say , Yoon shi yoon is a pretty damn good actor , this is only my second drama with him and I'm gonna keep him on my radar

this show really raised the bar for other kdramas to me and it's hard to find anything like it , I'm glad you agree with my theory! Indeed the environement he was in influenced him a lot

first saw him in missing 9 , then prison playbook , I liked his acting but tbh he wasn't my style , and then saw him in life on mars then when the devil calls your name ( where he looks soooo good !!! ) and I absolutely fell in love with him , he's such a versatile and talented actor , he's great at what he does and puts effort in it , I'm planning to watch all his works , he's now my favorite ever and I respect him a lot

wtf jung kyung looks so hot here and omg his acting is phenomenal , he really is an amazing actor . I recently watched life on mars and he makes a great pair with Park Sung Woong . The only other dramas I watched where kyung ho starred are prison playbook and missing 9 and I'm just amazed at his outstanding acting .The dialogue in this drama was beautifully written and brought life to the characters

this is the only drama where it makes sense that all the murders that happen are solved in the same police station lmao

it's a psychological horror and thriller manhwa, you can read it on the webtoon app , a guy with amnesia wakes up in an unknown island , there a weird family welcomes him , it sounds cliche but it's so much more than that and I wouldn't want to spoil anything by revealing more

after this I really want to see an adaptation of pigpen too , I love sweet home but carnby Kim's latest work is on a whole other level

the author of the webtoon himself asked them to change things cause he wanted to see something different , and I think they filmed it before the webtoon ended that's why .I also recommend reading it and I think the other person did a good job explaining

No , they changed a lot of things from the webtoon , they added some characters and changed the relationships between the other characters , the end is totally different from the webtoon too

Yes it's 100% worth it! One of the best dramas I watched , I'd recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat
And well it doesn't have any monsters or lots of gore stuff like that, if that helps , though it can be disturbing and keep you at the edge of your seat

Honestly I think I would've enjoyed this drama more if it either focused on comedy or stayed serious , but trying to do both kind of took from its charm . Still a unique plot though and the first half was entertaining ( except for ep 1 )I watched this after strangers from hell after seing it on the recommendations and I don't get why it was there, it has completely different tone , I expected something different
I have to give credits to Yoon shi yoon's acting skills though !

I had the manga on my plan to read list , guess it's time to check it out before this is out

I saw a lot of people mention the book the metamorphosis , and I think those theories are great , but I haven't seen anyone mention "hell is other people" which is another title for the webtoon , it's a saying from jean Paul Sartre from an existentialist play called Huis Clos, or No Exit . In the play, three people are trapped in Hell — which is a single room — and ultimately while confessing their sins to one another, end up falling into a bizarre love triangle.

"Hell is other people has always been misunderstood. It has been thought that what I meant by that was that our relations with other people are always poisoned, that they are invariably hellish relations. But what I really mean is something totally different. I mean that if relations with someone else are twisted, vitiated, then that other person can only be hell. Why? Because … when we think about ourselves, when we try to know ourselves … we use the knowledge of us which other people already have. We judge ourselves with the means other people have and have given us for judging ourselves."


The hell here would be the studio , as he is trapped in there he starts to go crazy and by "confessing their sin" we can maybe think it's about how the dentist forces him to bring out the "psychopathic" nature in him and his killing urge .

The people around him make him think he's overreacting and imagining things , that the people there are okay and he's just paranoid , so we literally see him become more and more paranoid during each episode , as he starts to believe what other people (especially his girlfriend) are telling him . We can also interpret that , since the dentist keeps telling the protagonist he's just like him , that's why he starts to believe that . His coworker says he only pretends to be a nice person on the outside , so Jong Woo acts according to those prejudices , smashes his keyboard and beats him up sending him to the hospital. If we take the metamorphosis in question , as the protagonist begins his transformation and becomes a bug , he completely forgets what he used to be like and starts to become what the people around him think he is , paranoid , crazy , rude , a murderer .
This is just my theory based on what I heard about these books , I'm going to try reading Sartre and Kafka and completing the webtoon and see if I can correct it or come up with more . This drama is really amazing .
