Kdramas like this, i can watch all day every day. Im glad I watched before reading these comments because it probably would of deterred me from watching it. It remind me of the kdrama, Nevertheless.
The first part was comedic and focus more on the FL background/ life story and her love interest with Lou Yao and also the FL revenging her bullies from noble families and those people from the palace.
The second part was more about the romance between the FL and ML and focused on the ML background/ life story and on politics issues and the ML revenging what happened to his family.
The chemistry between the leads was impressive. The cast done a wonderful job especially the leads. This drama has become my favorite Chinese Historical Drama. Ive seen many but this is the only one that had me laughing, crying, smiling, and hating that it ended.
It was okay. Although the leads had a lot of skinship interaction, i lost interest in their romance and became more interested in what happened to his father. I think because I kept anticipating on her finally telling him she was a girl or him finding out she was a girl. In return i got impatient and lost interested in watching what seemed like two males in a relationship. Finally on the last episode, we find out he was aware she was a girl when he overheard CZR and her conversation in episode 11 at the vet clinic. The audience only found out in the last episode that he already knew she was a girl. POV I think him finding out at the Christmas lights event while she was out dressed like a lady would of made the storyline more interesting.
It was A1 going in until it got to the part were the FL broke up with the ML and started dating the 2ML out of revenge towards his mother. Then when they got married just made me start disliking the progression of the drama even more. Like why hurt the ML even more especially after knowing what all he had already been thru and all he did for her. She was a you know what for that and that fake brother of his still was a jealous coward to me. If they were going to take that route, the ML and Fl should have just stayed childhood friends and nothing more. I hate when the drama give a couple too much screen time romancing together and then pair them with others. I’ve already done invested too much in the relationship not to mention shipping them together. I thought it would make it to my favorite Kdrama list, but I guess not. Even so I enjoyed watching it for the most part. Solid 9 in my book. That switching partners killed the 10.
This was a very beautiful bittersweet story. It was heart aching watching him go thru those tribulations. I was happy watching his character and good name be restored. It was beautiful and sad watching what their lives could have been “if only” especially after seeing the FL being decisive still about their relationship.
