I think it’s both guilt & anger towards his father & Juyeong. He’s angry that he wasn’t there when his father beat Juyeong, cos during that morning he was on his way to the entrance exam… he thought Juyeong was asleep,not knowing he was at the training hall with Dohoi’s dad.
Also I think he ACTUALLY wanted to harm his father,but chose to try & stab his hand,atleast that’ll make him feel less guilty to the physical pain Juyeong endured. But he realized what he was about to do & how Juyeong would feel,also what his future would look like,if he became disabled or even had problems with his hand due to his moment of anger. Plus he wasn’t even able to do his exams after Hyeon O told him about what happened between his dad & Juyeong.
Dohoi thought being cold toward Juyeong would likely lessen his guilt, but as you can see,it doesn’t. Even hyeon o asked if he’s okay after talking to Juyeong & Dohoi said he’s not okay. He even tried to keep his distance but what do you know, he rented an office in the SAME building Juyeong drops the kids off to. It might be his way of trying to slowly work things out & apologize for ghosting him for 12 years.
He puts on a front but he’s longing for Juyeong,misses him very much.

See, I wouldn’t be surprised if Damon ends up falling for anawin. Like this man gives off a scary yet powerful vibe. He looks like he’ll off anyone who dares to look at his partner’s way lmao. While Barcode got that innocent yet sly vibe. I know this drama will take the industry by storm. Cos both Jeff & barcode got some SERIOUS chemistry.

Honestly… these two will end up being the hottest on screen couple to ever grace our screens. Joss got that dom vibe,while Gawin got that baby girl but at the same time hot vibe. Yeah,I see the vision with these two.

If I remember the novel correctly Shi Yu DOES encourage the boy’s relationship tho. He will be happy for them. It’s been a while since I read it but I think he does something like that.

JT just didn’t want to be apart from SW. to him he cherishes the promise he & SW made about staying together. SW is in love with JT but he’s scared cos it’s his “brother”, so to him failing on purpose & keeping his distance was the best move for him. JT is also in love with him & feels that with SWgone,he’s lost a piece of him even if they’re just a level apart,to him it’s painful,he just doesn’t want to part with SW cos SW is his HOME. But him trying to avoid JT backfired on SW & now he regrets it. So he WILL come to terms with his feelings & will go back to class A

There’s going to be a confession, a lot of kissing especially in the dorms. Qi jiahao will be the main antagonist between the boys,cos he’ll see JT & SW making out & that’s when he’ll spread rumors about them. SW’s dad will try to tear the boys apart,manipulate them even while’s JT’s mom goes ape shit cos it’ll be like a Deja vu for her. SW’s dad will try to send SW to a different school but JT will sacrifice himself rather.
There’s going to be soo much longing & yearning between them then 6 years later(the director has changed it to 10years in s2 script). They OFFICIALLY date as adults. The parents break up because of SW & JT.
That’s why it’s good the director ended it here, cos it would’ve looked soo messy if he tried to put all this in one episode.

You seem to forget that, it was SW who wanted to be with JT cos both were lonely. JT told him,from now on we’ll be together so don’t regret it. But because of his feelings towards JT, he intentionally failed his exams to get away from him. JT knew this that’s why he told SW to tell him the truth. If you were in JT’s shoes,wouldn’t you have been hurt?

Also there’s going to be a time skip of 10 years instead of 6 years per the director for s2 script. So the boys will meet again in their adulthood in 2022. Remember their school days was around 2012.

Quick one. Those who don’t get the ending, well it means SW has finally admitted his feelings for JT & is going to slowly work on getting back to class A to be with him. Even tho JT is hurt, he says he’ll wait for SW to come back to him. Also we should remember that, it was SW who insisted on moving into the dorms & in being together,that’s why JT told him he shouldn’t regret it. But what did SW? He broke his promise,which hurt JT. How would you feel,if someone you love & care about all of a sudden starts distancing themselves? You’d feel hurt right?
In the novel,SW DOES move classes,but he won’t be there for long. The director did it in a way for us to see the emotions SW & JT have been feeling towards each,especially SW…this guy is only 17 & battling with his feelings & doesn’t really know how to work it out.
To him, moving classes & avoiding JT thinking his feelings might go away but as we can see they’re NOT,he’s also hurting,cos he can see how much JT is hurting too & he knows he definitely FUCKED UP this time.
So if you don’t understand the ending & was hoping for a confession & a kiss all of a sudden,lol you got the wrong drama cos there’s SOO MUCH that STILL needs to be covered. If the director had rushed it, some y’all will be the SAME ones complaining.
Read the novel if you want to know what happens next,instead of bitching in the comments section & being rude. Nobody forced you to watch,those who complained since ep1 watched til ep 12 & are STILL complaining. You don’t watch a drama you don’t like,unless you’re a negative soul or a loser. Nobody forced you to watch ep 1-12,nobody put a gun to your head now did they? You watched on your OWN
It’s not everyone that wants to watch kissing scenes in every damn episode with lazy writing & robot actors. Or naked men riding with a useless plot.
Read the damn novel or ask what happens next.

Exactly, its ending doesn’t mean that’s it,it means there’s more to come so I’m very satisfied with this ending. Also now that SW admits he likes JT which means romance is going to brew between them but at the same time some shit will go down between them. The director can’t rush everything in 12 episodes or else it’ll look messy.

The director said s2 script is done & there’ll be more romantic moments between JT & SW

Also to make it clear to those negative Nancie’s & Karen’s that if you didn’t understand the open ending,you should ask for spoilers from novel readers or ask where to read the novel for better understanding, rather than being negative & whiny like a kid.
How it ended to me is good cos it opens up for a continuation of their story. SW DOES go to a different class in the novel but doesn’t stay there for long.
Not all BL’s should have kissing scenes left & right nor nude scenes to satisfy your desire. There ARE topics like this happening in real life,I’m sure there’re some of us who went to a competitive school or was in a competitive class. If you’re going to bitch about why there’s no confession is because it’s TOO early for that.
I’d rather prefer this kinda BL that has raw emotions emitting from the characters than a lousy script with lots of kissing scenes.
There’re soo many BL’s but rarely where you watch a drama whereby the characters emotions leave an imprint on you.

You know the series is good,when the actors do an amazing job just with their emotions,chemistry or the emotions in their eyes says everything. JT has EVERY right to be hurt, cos he DID tell SW that they’ll be together from now on & he shouldn’t regret it.
And what did SW do? He broke the promise all because he has feelings for his “Ge”. He thought distancing himself & even failing the exams on purpose will make his feelings go away, not knowing he hurt JT. The scene where they were at Old Ding’s place took my breath away, cos the silence itself made me soo nervous. You could see how pained JT looked when he told SW to tell him the truth. JT kept bottling his emotions up but when he reached the stairs,he felt like his other half had been taken from him,he had to use the wall for emotional support,the punching of the wall & him screaming shows how much SW means to him & hates being away from him.
I know there’s STILL a LOT to unpack(there’s the boyfriend era-separation era-adult era & reunion era) but I’m glad SW finally ADMITTED he likes Jiang tian a LOT,which should boost him to go back to class A soon.
So yeah hopefully, we get a confirmation for shooting s2 soon since the script is done & there’ll be more romance in there.
So all I have to say is Sheng Wang, Jiang tian is patiently waiting for you.
This has become one of my favorite Taiwanese BL’s this year(probably in my top 5). Such raw emotions emitting from both Zayn & Ben is a TOP NOTCH.
