Great article and very valid points! As you say, while Asimov's laws are not bounding for all sci-fis out there, the inconsistencies in the world building of AYH bother me a lot too. I watched like 20 episodes of AYH and I stuggle with getting through it, so now I'll probably wait until it's finished and then marathon it...

Regarding most beautiful actresses, for me:
Park Min Young
Chae Soo Bin

Dear subbing team, thank you so much for sharing this drama with us! This is gonna be my first C-drama and I can't wait to watch it! (I don't have a twitter account, so I am at least thanking here XD)
On Strong Girl Bong Soon Jul 11, 2018
Dear drama Strong Woman Do Bong Soon,

I am at episode 4 and so far, you're an enjoyable show. The combination of crazy comedy, superhero story and thriller is kind of weird, honestly, but hey, I am watching you for the promise of fluff, not for a story, so no pressure. (btw the masked killer creeps me out. Just thought I'd let you know.)

But...what's with the homophobic and transphobic jokes? Seriously, dear drama, I thought we were over this like ten years ago. And even then such jokes weren't ok (I am looking at you, Hana Kimi 2007). Why are you doing this to me? It's not just offensive, it's overdone and completely unnecessary. I hope you will get over this quickly and you'll avoid it for the rest of the show. Otherwise, I can't promise you I'll stay with you till the end, such things make me really uncomfortable.

Sincerely

Ela

Hello! Sorry to be slightly off topic here but could you recommend me some legal dramas (preferably with a romance…
Yes, it's true that in theory, Suspicious Partner has everything I usually like in dramas. I didn't drop it yet and I really hope that the story and pace will pick up. So far it feels a bit all over the place, the mixture of genres is not as smooth as in other dramas and the heroine quickly became unnecassarily obsessive.

Thanks for the answer and recs!

As a legal drama lover, I can say this drama is that of the average legal dramas. Above average to be more specific.…
Hello! Sorry to be slightly off topic here but could you recommend me some legal dramas (preferably with a romance and nothing super heavy)? I am trying to watch Suspicious Partner but while I love Ji Chang Wook, I have a hard time getting through it... Could you recommend me an alternative?
On Are You Human? Jul 1, 2018
The character that makes me most uncomfortable in this show is So Bong's violent father. Without listening to his daughter, he jumps to incorrect assumptions and physically attacks people without warning (Like So Bong's reporter friend or Nam Shin). Like, is this supposed to be comedic? Should I laugh at that?

Yes, please. I'd like to know this too. Did they speak terrible Czech or what? I think the tourism promotion effort…
As a fellow Czech person, I just want to add an information: the ruined castle where robot!Shin hugs his Mom in episode 1 is Castle Hartenštejn (https://tinyurl.com/y98nslk6), which is some 20 km from Karlovy Vary, a popular Czech tourist city (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karlovy_Vary), where the first two episodes were shot.

I wonder where the Mom's Czech house (where human!Shin was hidden for the first couple of episodes) stands. Considering how isolated the house is, it could stand in Czech Republic as well as in Korea... Does anyone know?

And why she reacted when human NamShin got into the accident like she knew he was there.... Like she wasn't even…
Yes, I wonder if they were in contact before and agreed to meet there? Like, that would make sense considering that they met in the specific spot in a small Czech city...
While we're at it, did she and human!Shin plot together before to get the company? Because if not, she is endangering her child for her own shady ambitions WITHOUT asking what the human!Shin really wants.
Or she always meant to get the company through robot!Shin whom she can spare if anything went wrong?
Super shady. And Nam Shin's secretary doesn't even question her!
On Are You Human? Jun 23, 2018
So, this is not really a spoiler because I've been thinking about this since episode 1: anyone else thinks that Nam Shin's Mom acts really...shady? Like, she never stated WHY she created robot!Shin in the first place - instead of concentrating on getting human!Shin back, or like adopting a human kid if she needed to give her love to someone...

Did she always wanted to replace human!Shin with a robot and take her biological son back? Why does she want Nam Shin to be in charge of his father's company so badly? It's his right, ok, but since she knows how ruthless the Grandfather and Director Seo are (they likely killed her husband), why she just doesn't take her baby somewhere far and safe?
(Like to Czech Republic :D) (Being Czech myself, I found the portrayal of my country in the first two episodes hilarious)
On Suspicious Partner May 29, 2018
I just finished episode 6...the beginning was great but it got pretty average rather quickly. Episode 5, for instance, was absolutely boring and unnecessary. The female lead, whom I liked at the start, is quickly becoming obsessive and annoying - I really hope that she'll get over this phase quickly. The story is a mixture of genres which honestly doesn't work very well here... The only saving grace so far is Ji Chang Wook's acting! (the main actress is not bad either, but like I said, her character is getting insufferable). Not dropping this yet, but I don't know how many more episodes I'll manage.

The trailer looks surprisingly nice and definitely has HanaDan feel to it. Looking forward to the premiere, this might become my first C-drama!

Romance has a happy ending but it's not a happily ever after .
That didn't sound ominous at all :D. Like, I can handle tragedy, angst and death of side characters in a drama but I hate when the main couple doesn't end up together or one/both of them die... That's why I'm asking in advance, I simply need my romances to be happy :).
On Gogh, the Starry Night May 22, 2018
Question! I finished it on Viki where its divided into 4(!) hour-long episodes. But everyone says it has 6 hours...does it mean that the Viki version is incomplete? Does anyone know?
Jasmine May 22, 2018
The Princess Wei Young sounds really good to me and also has a great rating here on MDL. But I've never watched a C-drama before, is this a good starting point? Also, can someone please tell me if the romance ends happily? I really need to know in advance! :)

This is too true...but one has to hope!
On The Greatest Love Apr 23, 2018
I am a big fan of Hong Sisters' Master's Sun, so I was curious about this drama which also features my favorite actress Yoo In Na. I'm at episode 3 and so far....the dynamics of the main 4 characters are very similar of those in Master's Sun? I am sure the parallels are quite obvious to everyone... Like, what do you think? Is it like Master's Sun without ghosts or does The Greatest Love have some surprises at stock?
