When Pat entered in the last scene in ep. 7, he did not just melted Pran heart. But also impressed the other architect…
He's not only impressing them but he is beginning to lay the foundation of both faculties becoming more than enemies, by being friends. True he did it for Pran but this action is no doubt what will lead both faculties helping each other. Especially when Pat and Pran's relationship is revealed.
RIP Pa’s bladder But listen I just saw on twitter that the song Pat played at the last scene on the xylophone…
OMG I knew that tune sounded familar but I couldn't pinpoint where. I watched SOTUS and Kongpong's performance was memorable. I can't believe I didn't figure it out.
You forgot about the telephone cans. Right now I'm more scared about Wai finding out the guitar pick since Pran…
And that is what he comes to realize. He will realize the real reason Pran transfered schools and how Pran may need to depend on him when the parents find out.
You forgot about the telephone cans. Right now I'm more scared about Wai finding out the guitar pick since Pran…
I think it will be both. Wai has asked Pran multiple times if he has some sort of connection to Pat but Pran has constantly said no (he didn't say no when asked again in ep7). So when the friends do find out Wai would be the most angry since he was lied to multiple times. However he is also understanding and will realise the situation between the boys and support them in whatever way he can.
also, does anyone think the rivalry between the two families is about something else? like the scene with Pran's…
Yeah I think there's more than what we know. I made a comment before but in episode 1 we were told about the rivalry from Pran and Pat's perspective and what they known. There maybe more to it than what they know.
Ok so here is my analysis of ep 6: • Let’s start at what I dislike most: Pran’s mom. Her attitude towards Pat irritated me and how she wouldn’t accept something that was meant for Pran from the professor. However, rewatching the scene, I suddenly thought of something. Back in episode 1 both Pran and Pat explained why their families are enemies and then it occurred to me that they were telling the feud from what they know. It is possible that there is more to the feud then what they and us know. • Wai in this episode could be seen as annoying to us and I understand. However, when I look at it from his perspective his actions do make sense. First off, he hates Pat with justifiable reasons (the fight in episode 1 and the video of him being mocked come to mind). Secondly, He believes that Pat is picking on Pran and this stems from the fact he has no idea of their past relationship. Thirdly he incorrectly believes that Pat came to the trip to pull a prank on his friends unaware that he is there for Pran. And lastly, he cares for Pran a great deal (platonically) that he worries about him (the conversation at the beginning of the episode demonstrates that). All of these things become a major motive in the way he acted towards Pat during the episode and thus justifiable. • Pran’s ‘if you know how it ends why bother at all” attitude is something we can all understand. Pran has had years of loving Pat but deep down understood that nothing could ever come of it since his parents would never approve and probably have him transfer. This attitude is why he refuses to talk to Pat about the kiss and built his walls up to keep Pat out. • Pat’s greatest quality is his unrivaled determination to get Pran to talk to him about the kiss. We have seen when he puts his mind on something he doesn’t stop (I’m looking at you episode 3) and this demonstrates that he maybe the only one who can break through Pran’s defenses. • Can we just take a moment to appreciate communication in a BL. Throughout the episode Pat has been asking Pran about what is going through his head since he doesn’t know and doesn’t want to make assumptions. Making assumptions is something that can lead to dire consequences (anyone who has watched the og SKAM should remember Isak’s words to Sana about assumptions). Pat clearly wants a definite understanding of what is going on and he needs to hear it directly from Pran before proceeding. • That beach scene where the two boys are just talking really highlights who they are as individuals and why they fell for each other. This was where we can see them without the toxic influences of their families and friends hanging around them and how they just want to be around each other. That said it was kind of sad how Pran doesn’t really know how to be nice around Pat since they have spent their entire lives as rivals. • The bet really opens the door for the two boys to engage in a secret relationship while also remaining true to themselves. Pat and Pran have spent their entire lives competing against each other and that the only thing they really know what to do which is what leads to the bet. From this bet it gives them an excuse to flirt with the other without backlash from the other in order to win. That said the first ROUND goes to Pran. • The end credits deserve a mention. We are introduced to a new song called ‘Secrets’ and see how the relationship between the Pat and Pran will develop. What makes this interesting to me is that if the title is secret what will happen when everyone finds out the truth about them. I suspect we might get a third credit scene but who knows at this point.
If you feel like a miss something, please leave a comment below. Remember this is just my analysis for episode 6 and I would like to hear yours.
I'm curious at what episode do you think the friends will find out the truth and how? Personally I think episode 7 or 8 will be the one and they find out because of the photos. What do you think?
i think it might be the smiley face or the bracelet from ink
Physically I feel like it will be the bracelet. But spirtually I feel it's the song. The song represents their feelings for one another and it demonstrates the love they have.
This is my first detail analysis of an episode so here goes: - First let’s start with the morning after where Pran was able to hide his heartbreak about last nights from Pat who remains unaware that he hurt Pran. We can tell that Pran is sad about what happened, yet he makes sure it never shown in front of Pat since he thinks it will only cause more trouble. - The date with Ink. I can’t be the only one who cringed and had second-hand embarrassment as Pat with his sister’s help tried to see if Ink liked him. It was so obvious that he wasn’t attracted to her that he left to get his drumsticks from the music shop. Side Note: If there is a second couple, I fully believe that it will be Ink and Paa. - The music shop. This is where it starts for Pat as his sister’s advice about when you like someone comes into play. The moment I saw Pran I knew that this will be when Pat has his ‘AHA’ moment and realizes he has feeling for Pran and boy it did not disappoint. Ohm’s skills is amazing as he shows us Pat’s inner mind working through his expression as Pat slowly realizes that he is in love with Pran and portrays his internal crises well. - The collection of the earphones is next as Pat wanting to make sure he had no feelings for Pran went to go collect. Of course, this changes when Wai calls Pran and Pran tells him Wai that his mom invited him for dinner. This is the start that sparks the jealously in Pat about Pran and Wai’s relationship. It isn’t about ‘you’re hanging around my boy’ jealousy either. More details down below. - The flashback that led to the creation of ‘just friends’ was well down. It showed how close Pat and Pran really where when they were students and the subsequent separation much more painful. - The music contest when Pat speaks to Pran before the competition starts. Pat was simply asking Pran if he was ready and vice versa before Wai stepped in thinking that Pat was harassing Pran. This leads to Pat’s increasing jealousy as he sees how close Pran and Wai are which adds to his uncertainty if how he feels. - Then there was Pran’s performance of ‘just friends’ which is their song. At the start Pat is reminded of the good times and looks fondly. However, when he sees Pran and Wai this is when he starts his spiral as his jealously takes over. To him this song was about the bond between him and Pran and to see Pran singing this song with his friends makes him feel like he has been replaced. This compounded with his feelings for Pran and jealously over Wai is what made him leave at the end of the performance. - His confession to Ink was something he needed to do so that he could move on in facing his feelings for Pran. I do believe that apart of him hoped that Ink would accept his confession, so he didn’t have to face his attraction to Pran. - The argument downstairs where Pat’s downward spiral exploded. At the start he didn’t want to fight with Pran but because of Wai’s presence Pran had to put on the act which made Pat snap. When he called their song lousy you can see the hurt in Pran’s face since it was meant for Pat. But when Wai steps in to defend Pran is when Pat finally snaps with all his emotions unleashed. His hatred for Wai is all about the fact that Wai is accepted in Pran’s family, that he can be close to him without concern, that Pran can acknowledge him as a friend while none of these can happen to Pat. This is what tempts Pat to tell the truth to Wai so that Wai could leave them alone (Of course Pran stops him). Another thing Wai attacked Pat first which is what led Pat to retaliate until then he just wanted to be left alone with Pran to give him that food gift. - The famous rooftop scene where Pat makes his feelings clear to Pran when they started talking about the song. When Pran said it was a little thing this hurt Pat since the song symbolizes their bond and relationship. And when Pat says he doesn’t want him to play it Pran’s heart takes over by saying “you’ve got to stop doing this to me” - This leads us to see how miserable the boys have been since their separation. Despite feeling a release of pressure, they were under both boys missed each other so much it was depressing. Pran until then had thought it was only him but never did, he or us realize that Pat suffered just as much (remember the band they blamed Pat for Pran leaving). When Pat asked what their relationship was, we can see how hopeful Pran is about this and yet scared which is he asked if they were friends. Pat however said no which leads to the kiss. - THE KISS (This is how it’s done) for Pat this is a validation of his feeling while for Pran it is everything his heart yearned for, for years. However, once they stop Pran’s mind kicks in and he immediately thinks about all the problems they will face from their parents to their friends, and this is what causes him to leave while Pat is sad. The next episode will probably focus on Pat trying to establish a relationship leading to the bet. - Also, Wai now knows or highly suspects that Pat and Pran have a connection which will lead the two to be even more careful around him. One slip up and Wai will unravel them. Who here thinks the pictures on Pran’s laptop will be the slip up hands up? Okay so that’s it for my analysis sorry if it was little much there was just so much info to unpack.
It has long been established that Pran is a thinker, that he plans ahead of time. Pat on the other follows his emotions and when his emotions are conflicted he will show it.
This is important because for the first time Pran let his emotions completely take over and he kissed Pat. However when his mind took over he immediately thought anout the obstacles they will face from their friends and their parents. That is why he left becuae he thinks they won't have a chance to be together while it will be Pat who will purse Pran and convince him that they have a chance.
One last thing their friends especially Wai are suspecting their relationship. It didn't help that Pat nearly spilled the beans and that Wai is certain that something is going on.
Now if you'll excuse me I need to find something to distract me while a wait another week of torture.
