They were never rivals, that was the core of the episode. I think it was beautiful the way Bay confessed his feelings. Before that, Sun had already kind of told him that he never hated him.

I don't like it either. I'm not saying it's bad, just not my cup of tea. I found it not funny and very cringe. I read Calm Down Mr. Rome and it was great, they messed up bad with Mhok and Rome's plot. But maybe it's me and it's a great show. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Didn't you heard what Tanrak said at the end? Humans can leave without faith, but not without love. As a non-religious person, I didn't think they said that God is the only way.

Oh, I get your point now. But I think that the series did a wonderful job separating my God, your God and church God. What I'm trying to say is that the same God Barth is grateful to, is not your same God or even my God, because we don't have the same experiences. And it's, at the same time, all the same. For example, we may know the same person, but according to the things that person had done to us, we are going to think about them in a different way. Barth reconciled himself with God becase of Tanrak. Not because of Tanrak's believes, but because Tanrak saved him and he sees that as a blessing from the God that once failed him.

I thought about it during ep 4 and this episode confirmed it: Barth never stop believing in God. In this episode he didn't suddenly lean into faith, he never left faith. That's why he got up and left during Mass, that's why he felt all that rage. Feeling left out by God, feeling betrayed and choosing not to live by his rules isn't the same thing as not believing. It's like when someone hurts you so much that the only thing you can do is to cut them out of your life.

For the first time in years, I cried because of fictional characters. The scene between Barth and hid mother broke me. I want to talk about Gemini's acting, because I think isn't being apreciated enough. The smiling piece of sunshine that is Gemini just became Barth... and it was amazing to watch. The way he changed his voice! If you have watched him in an interview you know that he doesn't tak that low. His all demeanor changed and he channeled Barth in every cell of his body. What an actor! He and Fourth deserve all the awards .

I just thought about this: Tanrak is the Believer. During that whole ending scene, a question hung in the air: Is he going to lie to himself? He didn't.
