Lee Sang Yi went from Special Guest Appearance to Main Lead #5 designation. Outside of the drama, his KPOP career rebooted with Migak Bros performing Taste my Flavor on stage. I hope they perform at MAMA.

The only drama I looked forward to every week, for the last month.

While Chef Lee Ho Young's meal was high end, it would not satisfy the average soldier's belly. Chef Kang's meal was filling and sentimental.

Every character (... main and key supporting) had character growth. Even Baek had a stretch of character despite his inevitable downfall.

Episode 12 was very tense and nerve-wracking . I was literally on the edge of my seat, watching the final competition. Kudos for Hwang Seok Ho and Park Jae Yeong for their investigative skills. in the end, Min Gu took down Baek, but he is in a worse predicament for instigating Major Im's death. Excellent drama of the year! I hope it is remembered at Awards time. It might win Seoul Drama Award for Best Drama. Overall, the casting was perfect, even the few annoying characters. Glad to see the veteran actors stepping outside the box, and showing their comedic skills, and dressing in costume... and not the typical Korean costume drama costume.

I am now hoping for Season 2 while the memory is fresh. I hope to see Chef Lee Ho Yeong sit down, and eat a Kang Seong Jae meal, and have a hallucination. I can see them becoming friends in the future. Migak Bros is my favorite KPOP group now, and Taste my Flavor, my most favorite KPOP song.

I see why Jingli also resents Emperor, who might be a few years younger than him.

Who gave the edict to Ye Li 's mother? I vaguely recall the scene.

So, the current emperor is the uncle of Ye Jing Li, who was the late emperor's grandson?

He was a guest chef in Legend of the Kitchen Soldier. I hope he gets hired for more acting jobs.

Hwang Seok Ho is slowly figuring out that the Battalion Commander Baek is not as upright as he pretends. I don't know how and who will expose Baek for his misdeeds. Only Min Gu could report him for harassment and coercion. Is that all going to be revealed in the final episode, or is the TVING going to end the drama with a cliffhanger? They wasted five or more minutes of episode 11 with flashbacks by every soldier. I guess the senior officer who bought coffee for Hwang was Major Lim ( or Im?).

He lost the chef rewards before the tie-breaker was announced. He will might demonstrate to the Game (... annoying voice, btw) that he still possesses the skills he achieved.

I saved the song in my YouTube playlist, and I bought it on Itunes, to support the artist,

I will also miss Kang Ha Kyung/Kim Gwan Cheol. To think he was irritating in his first scene..

I didn't see the preview but I was thinking of his Mom's food truck special.

The Game cheated Kang Seong Jae of his Chef's Path reward. The Team tied for first place. They still won the competition.
