😂😂😂😂😂 Writing a deep character cripples a romcom bcuz then u have to add layers to story snd romcoms are not about it....that is the major fault of this genre. It is an escape medium for most people and adding layers will deprive it off of its selling point. At max u can get a childhood story. Well, if we may get lucky we might get an upgraded steroid version like Goblin but thats very rare and i think All the big brain of korean industry has gone towards....action, drama and stuff....also this year has been a disappointment in itself....i hope we get something good next year... have u tried Welcome to Samdalri though??? Relatable. Tried sparkling watermelon and park's marriage contract too. They were lacking severely. A good korean airing romcom used to be so regular but suddenly all the plots have become so dull. The writers aren't putting effort anymore.
Bad boy + hot as hell + romance is what we call a korean rom com....its like ur saying that an apple shouldn't be an Apple. What i did find lacking though was that the comedy and romance tropes have been lifted off from several old dramas....Last year we had business proposal and it had some new innovation in comedy and romance with the same virgin CEO who is rude to everyone plot. Its like they casted the main leads and gave up after that. Same thing with King the Land....they casted the main Leads and gave up. Its so embarassing that they tryna ride the new korean wave of younger fans so bad that they keep forgetting us....the older fans who brought kdramas to this stage.
