It's best to skip the flashbacks or skip through it, it's boring as hell. but once it's back last few episodes…
Exactly its boring. I would have rated it really low if it wasn't for the last few episodes. May i share ur review in the comment section bcuz this is exactly what I wanted to say but couldn't verbalize it.
Also the story moves in a weird way....the cut between the past and the present makes me lose interest. They also talk too long before actually killing somebody and the melodrama is excessive even for a slice of life sort of thing.

I am literally learning korean for so long and thats why i know about the culture nd dramas more than u. This drama is simply not the best of all time. Nobody hurt me...i just have knowledge of things. Also, i rate dramas genre wise.... heavenly idol is a romcom....and in that genre yes it deserves a 7.5

Yes i did criticise the big shit Jang Uk and Alchemy of Souls.....i have not watched arthdal chronicles yet so I don't know but Alchemy of Souls is the garbage that mainstream watchers like u consume....go through my watchlist and check the dramas above 7.5 u will know what good dramas are. Go ahead.
