Nah i guess they made him shoot other scenes from the story where he was describing how he wrote the novel etc etc...they must have had in mind to include him in the last minute but went the regular...'His voice is there so he is there' route which many historical dramas use...for example the same thing happened in the untamed too

I have been saying this since the episode Cuicui met his grandpa that those 2 were just eating screen time only cuz their role should have ended there. My biggest problem with the drama is that they wasted a lot of time on unnecessary arcs and filled the episodes with random shit instead of sticking to the leads' development and relationship till the end. Thats why my rating fell from a 10 to 7.5
