I won't mind if season 2 follows the book because 1. We don't have Venice in the series so no child abuse. 2. There will be no rape according to the directors. 3. In the series Vegas never liked Porsche so they won't try the intentionally suggestive lines between Vegas and Porsche to make it seem they're cheating. In place of rape Vegas will probably raise his hands on Pete in the heat of the moment, Vegas has anger issues and is abusive so it will take time for him to change his ways and also it will create an interesting drama I will love. And the Vegas and Porsche leaving Pete there part, I will wait for more chapters to see if it's forgivable or not( series Vegas)
Pete being called a masochist always made me uncomfortable because in the novel in Pete's pov there was no indication or line given by him that he's enjoying the pain but rather Vegas is the one that is convinced that Pete is someone who enjoys pain. Pete was nothing but miserable and disgusted by Vegas while getting raped idk from where Vegas saw him enjoying it.

And the new chapter that came out today has convinced me of this even more, we got the chapter in Vegas' pov and during sex he's thinking only about himself and his pleasure while disregarding Pete's protests. It feels like Pete is just putting up with him. It's practically rape or dubious consent atp and the way he kept cursing Venice and ignoring him made me so mad. Adding child abuser to my Vegas' list.
