Could have done it with less of the 'games' but with more fleshed out characters. Feel like I needed a lot more on the teacher in particular, she was basically a none character until the last 5 minutes where she's like 'i hate you allll!' but no explanation really. Also wasn't too keen on how the past/present storytelling was done, with such a short time frame to be able to tell it on I feel like most of those scenes could have been cut and they could have used the time to better flesh out characters.

I agree with the comments saying the ending was rushed. As someone who hasn't read the manga I don't really understand some of the characters' motives.. I feel like it tried to pack too much into too short a time but then left important details out in the process.

It's just okay. Wouldn't bother waiting for subs on this one.

Just rewatched it. I first watched it years ago. It remains one of my all time favourites. In my opinion it is one of the greatest examples of an actor playing two different roles.
