I'm enjoying this drama! It's very similar to the US Suits in terms of the plot, but the relationships and the characters feel different because it is Korean. I find most of the main characters less charming since there's less of that witty back-and-forth (from the original Suits). Even Park Hyung Sik, who I love, doesn't get to show off his genius enough, and most of the time I forget why he was hired by Choi Gang Seok. It just really feels like a kdrama, in a good way. I have to say most of the side characters bother me, though, like everyone sounds really pretentious or patronizing all the time when they're discussing cases. Despite that, it's a fun watch.
They actually had a sibling like relationship if u think bout it and things will change between em as they will…
that's true, but it hurts my heart since i have a good relationship with my sibling :( but since u say that and give it such a great rvw i'll give it another shot ty!
when we were young is so good!!! but i couldn't get past all the shouting in deok-sun's family and the lack of warmth between her and her sister so i dropped reply 1988 after the first episode :(
My Jdrama journey started over 10 yrs ago. I had been watching Taiwanese dramas and I wanted to expand my cultural…
I've watched a couple Jdramas, but I'd say I'm still a newcomer. I don't usually like watching Jdramas because I usually stick to rom-com and don't find much success. I think after this article and your comment, I might try a mystery or youth or historical drama. Thank you for the advice! Actually, my favorite Jdrama ever and one of my favorite dramas is Nobunaga Concerto (historical). Highly, highly recommend.
I'm watching the first episode of this, and the female lead is kind of bothering me. Like why is she smiling when talking about being the only survivor of a tragedy to the girl in the hospital and idk but her body language comes off and unnatural. Also like all the actors' bags are really visible and their makeup looks kind of obvious? Maybe that's bc there's less editing and people aren't perfect but they could have adjusted the lighting to make them look better. I'm just gonna stick with it but dang I had rly high hopes for this drama and the little things are bothering me a lot
oh really that's so cool xD lol yes it's still ongoing xD I actually reread the chapters I had and I was still…
Lolllll I'll definitely check it out again but maybe I'll wait another 2 years since you say so. Whether it's good or not, I'll push through it bc of the sentiment
I always love seeing reviews; they always help me when picking dramas. Thank you to all the reviewers! and like Xingback I also first discovered dramaland after reading Skip Beat like 5 years ago. I looked it up a while ago since I thought I would read it once it's completed, but it's still ongoing! :)
Yes! Even if the drama/movie wasn't as good overall, you picked duos with undeniable chemistry. Elvis Han & Sun Yi in Siege in Fog gave me so much heartbreak bc they were so great together, and even though I dropped Noble, My Love, I def felt Kim Jae Kyung & Sung Hoon had great chemistry. Please do another!!!
I even love their notification ringtone :D thanks, I mean what's not to like? Acting? Good. Story? Good. Visuals?…
I completely agree, the notifications are adorable. But I must say I don't really like Nam Ju Ri or the "comedic" relationship between the boss and the art director. Then, again my dislike of her may be what the writer intended at this point in the show. I also hope the art director gets to work with Sang Tae properly because I really like the actress and want to see her do more. Still, we're at episode 7 right now, so I'm wondering if there will be a kiss next episode? ;) It made me so happy to see Moon Young and Gang Tae laugh together!
When it comes to sound effects, the background music in this drama is really good. I almost never pay attention to bgm unless it's an ost, but it's really well done. In episode 7, if you watch on Netflix, there are some really catchy tunes at 42:55, 17:55, and 9:04. And then I love how Moon Young just seems to know exactly what the patients need. She's harsh, but she always helps them; I just love her. This was such a well-written article, and I'm glad you love this drama too!
