Some thoughts on Kim Soo Hyuk Geomsa! Spoiler below :

He has strong protective instincts, which at times gets the better of him when it's related to ppl close to him. But otherwise he's just a badas* guy who does all the dirty work to punish the criminals (repeated offenders as we have seen till now). Both kinds are necessary, those who go by the book but also those who can go beyond it to serve justice (in this serial at least). KSH falls under the latter kind but it doesn't mean he's evil.
Now, he could have shot just to injure JB. The reason why he didn't, I think, is probably because he saw JB as a threat to Sabin's life. If he was let loose, he'll try to kill again and as his JB's father has been covering him up till now, there was no way to keep him away other than injuring him seriously/ killing him (from his POV i guess?). He has already confessed that he can kill in order to protect the ones he loves. His character is very rigid when it comes to saving his people, maybe from the guilt he couldn't save his father.
The whole scene at SB's place (he went to give the "gift"), the whole conversation with SB & JB separately makes so much sense. He is not blindly prejudiced, he even considered him repenting but didn't want to take any single chance cause that would cost SB's life. every line of that scene gave us an insight to his thought process, he has his logic. lastly, he told JB to not forget the order, to kill him first and nobody else. He takes responsibility for his words.

KSH is such a TEASE!!!! the first thing he says is that he wouldn't be inviting her to his wedding xD and then takes a smooth exit, all smirking, after dropping the bomb, knowing fully well her inside is in chaos xD Asked her on a date only to bring her to the shooting range. Then again he gift wrapped the whole safety kit box :D also he goes on saying "you have to be alive to go on dates" lmao savage king

Seriously though!! We never get any backstory about HB and HE. I really want to know how their relationship developed. Even some glimpse into it would be nice. Also SH/SB never get a proper scene without someone lurking on them. Be it JB or Saengah. I am just sad :( And this triangle thing has been pissing me off lately, they have so many things to focus on still they are stuck in there, trying to give fan service while the story gets ruined ugh

Here's my take. JB doesn't know how to love. He can't feel sorry, and a person who can't feel sorry can't love either. She accpted him the way he is, didn't accuse him like others and tried to bring out the human in him that's why he wants her for himself. So that he can have that connection to humanity via SB. Or so that he always has someone beside him who won't judge him for his twisted actions.He wants approval to his wicked mind. And it's pretty clear he thinks he's the smartest and overestimates his capability. That's why he's obsessed with the thought that ONLY HE can save SB and nobody else. SH is challenging his caliber, so he's hell bent on defying him. He wants SH to be responsible for the danger that befalls SB. That's prolly the reason why he asked Saengah if she was doing all these for SH.
