Sweet Sixteen is a sad but beautifully told story. It's about various forms of love and the way they affect people. The overall acting was very good. I only wish that Tang Xiao Tian had more depth, to balance the story. a solid and enjoyable watch. Please give it a try :)
But Hiroto is the main lean.... Not Rintaro...So she basically ended up with the Main lead...
Well, both Rintaro and Hiroto are cast as main leads (according to MDL). And it just seemed to me that Hiroto was the looks-like-the-main-lead-but-will-end-up-second-lead because the FL couldn't possibly defy society - and family - and be happy with a much younger man, right? Simply my own expectations, I guess :)
I actually liked the way it ended - after 5 minutes of feeling sad and upset. In my version of The Effect, nobody dies. Too bad none of the main characters was a student who made ignorant, thoughtless remarks (either on social media or in real life). It is really horrible for people to judge and shame others.
I simply loved this series! Sakura and her girlfriends were very cute and likeable. Also, this is the first drama I've seen in which the female lead ends up with the second male lead! (Though whom she's choose had me on the edge of my seat right up to the final minutes) Would die for a second season. I mean, they still got lots of obstacles to overcome, right?
