Guide is such an amazing actor. His portrayal of Peach is impressive. Great episode. Shin is so self-centred and annoying but I can understand that he is so used to being alone that he may struggle with relationships from friendship to love. He kept pushing Peach away and Peach kept trying to find out how Shin was doing even though it never occurred to Shin to find out how Peach was. He just felt wronged and was well, as I said, self-centred.
Each week is. treat. Love the storyline and the burning tension between the leads. wish they would at least have one scene with the supposed side couple because I can't tell if they are just besties with one joking around about them being a couple and calling his friend baby all the time or them being an actual couple. So far, we haven't actually seen anything to indicate that they are more than besties...
Cherry Magic is my favorite Japanese BL and love it.was very disappointed to hear that there was a Thai remake planned and with two if my faves. so far, loving the Thai adaptation. it seems to be wotking!
WTF. just as I predicted. it went from zero to 100. It all happened so fast that I thought one of the characters was having a dream. First's turn around from hating Zee to being all smitten was quite sudden but I am not complaining. Poor Sam. Sprite is completely oblivious to his feelings. The real Zee being out of hospital and coming back reminds me of one of the most heartbreaking scenes in Not Me when Black comes back and Sean has no clue. Things are going to get sad when they just started between First and Sprite. I liked this episode. a lot more going on in this series than regular BLs. The socioeconomic differences between the characters, parental alcoholism, parental expectations and parental illness. Mike's comment about Jack's family having no expectations was so flippant and cruel....but their relationship is so complex.
Why does this have such low reviews? I enjoyed it so much! It's a simple feel good drama with great chemistry…
This series literally saved my life from fear and apprehension at the start of the COVID pandemic in 2020. I loved it and still love it. I think people rating it so low are those who are watching it with extremely high expectations who are disappointed with it. For it's time, it was definitely one of the better BLs and it took BLs mainstream across Asia and got many people to BL across the globe. I still watch bits occasional.
I hear you . This was also my first lakorn and yes - it was very soapy and dramatic complete with long pauses and stares plus ridiculous subplots. The BL storyline was lovely and the chemistry delicious. it is indeed quite long but worth it. You have the luxury of fast forwarding over bits that are boring to get to the next episode. I watched it while it was airing so I didn't skip over the boring bits because I would've had to wait a week for another episode and even longer for the episode to be subbed. I am also not a fan of sad endings ...
this show is being needlessly stretched with limited material / plot. First Jade refuses to see the obvious ( that Mai is in love) and then starts to see things that aren't there (Mai kissing / being tender with others). ugh.
The extended advertising for Toyota is fascinating....I didn't think needing a battery on a car thar seemed completely brand new was a good thing...oh well.
huge cautionary tale for why you shouldn't date someone where you work. Looking forward to next week and how Per factors into the tangled web we see....Peach is too good for both Shin and Guy...
Another great episode. Unlike some series where I fast forward through some scenes, I watched everything. I love how the series highlighted the beautiful traditions of Nong Khai in Northeastern Thailand bordering Laos. We really got to appreciate the mythical nagas and the naga fireballs. what I didn't realize was that naga fireballs are actually an unexplained phenomenon. I had assumed that someone was firing them from the water.
anyway, loving the series, loving the chemistry between Billy and Babe. Just loving Babe and his expressions....This series takes me back to Manner of Death and how heavily invested I was in the mystery.
