I like watching multiple dramas at the same time and Racket Boys and Move to Heaven are my current ones. I didn't recognize him at all and had to read about him being in the two. That's some very very good versatility for someone as young as he is - definitely looking forward to his next works.

I think you put the finger on what the problem seems to be - many people watching this have yet to experience young adulthood and beyond. I think like many stories depicted with nuance and care, you wouldn't be able to truly understand it unless you've lived through it yourself.
This ending is full of growth and has a powerful message about what love is & becomes. To everyone on the fence about watching it : do it, and if you don't like it, watch it again once you get older. Because I'm absolutely positive that everyone will at one point in life come to understand what this show set out to prove.
