First of all, I enjoyed this a lot. A lot. That being said, hot take, Suho is such a boring actor. It wasn't even about not wanting him to be with the FL, though IMO they had no chemistry. He's just so dull in this. I loved the Ye Bun's personality and the opposite personality of the Jang Yeol. Their dynamic was so fun.
I enjoyed this drama. It was an easy way to pass the time. My only thing is I wish they explored his relationship with his parents more. I wish there was some sort of closure there. It felt like his parents got away with being truly awful without any ramifications. I don't know if anyone else feels this way but it felt like he got close to confronting them and forcing them to take accountability but then he just didn't. And that made me feel like there was a plot line that was incomplete.
I'm sorry. I just binged watched this whole thing and at first, it was good. It was tense. Suspenseful. Had me intrigued. And then shit got weird. Really weird. And they provided no explanations for any of it. Why does Luna have gills? Don't just say it's a "genetic mutation" and move on. TELL ME MORE. Why can she walk around with an oxygen tank? How did they clone people? Are we going to talk about her being a clone of the director's daughter? What is the director's motivation? Why was all the water gone? What happened? Also, how sick his daughter? Does she have a sickness related to water? Why is she under government surveillance? Just so many things that would have made it better had they expanded on everything and taken their time.
If this show been longer, had they fully fleshed the world that they tried to build in the first 10 minutes, it would have been decent. They had great actors and they didn't utilize them in the slightest. There wasn't enough character development and frankly it was a let down and totally not satisfying.
Maybe I didn't pay close enough attention or maybe it just didn't grab attention well enough.
That being said...Gong Yoo still looked fine as hell with the neck tat.
Just started watching. So far I'm entertained. But the prince sucks. Does he stop the suckery later on or does he continue to be his royal suckiness for a long time?
This is the cutest most adorable revenge drama I have ever watched! The chemistry between all the leads is so great! I only hope that it would sub faster because I just can't get enough.
