Some thoughts on KinnPorsche after this ep 10. Warning, there may be spoilers. To spare you, I will make 3 posts; feel free to read or not and if you read, give me your opinion. We have all understood that the story is no longer quite that of the book. The characters and the plot are there, but the development, actions and behaviors differ. And that's good ; with few exceptions, we are dealing with mature men. 1/ KinnPorsche Kinn: He's #2 unwittingly, he acts under his father's orders and influence, whether he likes it or not. Since Tawan's betrayal, he has a list of toyboys, no feelings, only sex (he doesn't kiss). The arrival of Porsche, which he welcomes with displeasure since it is imposed on him by his father, will turn his life upside down a bit. Until, little by little, Porsche becomes his lover; but with a difference: the feelings are there, not yet really defined, but there. He worries about him, protects him, while trying not to go against his role as a boss. Which explains why his actions seem unacceptable to us (he neutralizes Porsche after the incident with Macau; he could have killed him, but doesn't do it; from Pete's point of view, it is very clear, not sure for the others bodyguards) He loves Porsche, enough to allow him to regain his freedom, in the episode where they are lost in the forest; this is also where he takes a bullet for him. Porsche: he is also there against his will. His first experience with Kinn leaves him upset, he is a ladies' man, one-night stands in the alley. Was he consenting? Great question; he was, however, aware of what was happening to him since he remembers it perfectly. And his attraction to Kinn becomes stronger, the feelings are there too; Porsche never had a relationship, no girlfriend; no time for that. When Kinn lets go of him, in the episode Tawan, he is hurt and confused; but he is ready to believe in Kinn; he keeps trusting him. Vegas was never an option for him. Kinn and Porsche's problem: they struggle to communicate; they solve all their problems in bed; It's cliché, but I'd say it's very masculine. Did Kinn really have a plan for Tawan? Did he want to protect Porsche by not telling him? At the risk of hurting him deeply? Kinn sucks at managing his feelings,he is in his role as a boss and reacts in a way that is detestable for us, but logical for him. Why does he leave Tawan free to move around the house? To make him believe that he trusts him, quite simply. I dare to hope that's also why he lets Tawan hold his hand, in front of Porsche (! you're doing this to me, man, I'm blowing you up) to recall their fucking memories in Korea. But then he had a very clear attitude on this subject: His story withTawan is over.
2/Vegas Pete We don't know enough about these two yet. Try to see it more clearly. We've known it from the start that Vegas has a "on the edge" personality. Deplorable childhood, deplorable family environment, “job” which is not fulfilling socially speaking. He is ready for anything: murder, torture, suffering, betrayal and sex are his precepts in life. He approaches Porsche to prepare the Tawan episode and get rid of Kinn and the main family, everything that is an obstacle on his path. Kinn is his pet peeve; he wants everything that belongs to him, his guys, his position, Tawan who fell madly in love with Vegas : he goes so far as to propose to him. I tried to have a little sympathy for Tawan, but no, it doesn't work for me, apart from maybe a handful of seconds at the end, and still… I must have been traumatized by the death of Big. Pete is a perfect friend for Porsche; he is loyal and reliable. But Pete has, apart from his pretty face (God , he's cute !!), a very dark side. He's a killer to the core, let's not forget that. And he has all the skills to be Vegas' partner. Remember the torture scene: he was fascinated by Vegas; he was the only one. I wouldn't go so far as to say he enjoys being electrocuted, but there is a – little – BDSM side to him. And he faces a completely crazy guy, out of reality. This is certainly what will trigger this attraction between them, bestial at first, then drifting towards a softer feeling; Pete is the only one who can accept Vegas as he really is, with his very dark sides.
3 / KimChay I'm going to make enemies I think. I was never bothered by the age gap between Chay and Kim, (Kim never acted inappropriate; he is beyond reproach to me; moreover, Chay is at an age where he can make his own choices, even in terms of sex). That said, I confess that I am not really under the spell of this couple. Right now, I don't really see a love interest from Kim; it will come, surely; he is ultra protective of him (he is the first to arrive at the warehouse with Big, whereas in general he is withdrawn). By the way, Chay's long eyelashes... So, I expect more, and am waiting for Chay to discover the truth.
A word for Big: he was never my favorite, because from the start he hated Porsche and this feeling grew: Porsche was his rival, even if Big's attraction to Kinn was unrequited. It's not clearly said in the show, but Big's sacrifice to protect Kinn's lover says it all. So I feel like shit for hating him; but, man, I could never do what you did; I must not have a sense of sacrifice and love as high as yours. As for Kenn, I never liked him and that was confirmed; his death is very ugly all the same, but he would not have hesitated to kill.
A final word on Kinn and Porsche: I'm not shocked by this bed scene; when events happen and they really affect us, we often seek refuge in the arms of the loved one. You will notice that the scene was soft, sweet and rather tender (with one exception though🤣 if you had a doubt on Porsche's masculinity, forget it ). Thank you to those who had the courage to read this stuff !!!
Have you any feelings or ideas about what is to come ?
