And you are wrong if you think kang telling Sailom of his father make them friends. They have a better understanding of each other because of what has happend but thats it.
Sailom love Kang. But kang doesn't know his own feelings.

Kang don't see he does evil. He only see that his behavor have got Sailom in danger.
I differentiate between evil and evil-dangerous. Kang is evil but he doesn't want to kill someone. So he step back when he see what had happend. shock moment. This change his seeing. His doing have hard consequences for the first time.
And yes i see Kang get back and bully Sailom again. A bully doesn't stop that easy. It needs time for him to get their.
Sorry but the conflict make sense in my eyes.
Kang is a rich kid with a father that doesn't care enough so he do what he want. And with asien cultur in mind he is the king in school.
Sailom is smart and go aginst him. So to this point it is trope. See Meteor Garden.
But in contrast to that here Kang doesn't fall in love immediately. So the author use a bad bonding experience to get the charcter development of Kang started. And that is a refreshing change.
He don't stop bulling he only go out of Sailoms way. Love the Scene where Kang said he want something else. So that he don't have to bully Sailom.
This isn't a different person only a person which is a bit off track in a positive sense.
The Character is driven by what the character experienced.
The lazy writing is only with the we have seen us as kids part.

1. He's Into Her (Philippines) [a bulling plot with a strong victim and no triangle] very refreshing for me. 9/10
new 2. Perfect Marriage Revenge (South Korea ) [a Cinderella Story] One of the few Kdrama i like. This was a big positive suprise for me. 9/10
3. Love in Twilight (Thailand) [Fantasy with native people] This is a bias for me love native people storys. 8/10
4. Novoland: The Castle in the Sky (China) [Fantasy] really amazing actors. 8/10
5. Once Upon a Time... in My Heart (Thailand) [Mafia story with demsel in distress] Also a bias, first watched lakorn for me. 8/10
6. Suparburoot Jorm Jon: Duang Jai Kabot (Thailand) [A good Princess-Bodyguard-Story] see my Review on that. 8/10
7. Tempted (South Korea) [base on the famous novel : Les liaisons dangereuses from Pierre Choderlos de Laclos] This is really not an easy drama so trigger warning here. Love the actors. 8/10
8. The Crown Princess (Thailand) [A good Princess-Bodyguard-Story] This is a little more western style. But have a really cool investigation plot. 8/10
12. -> 9. A Dream of Splendor (China) [strong female concept] Maybe it will be to slow for you, but chemistry and actors are amazing. 7,5 -> 8/10
10. The Spirit of the Ruler (Thailand) [Bodyguard-Story] sweet, easy and comforting. 8/10

new 11. Bound by Sin (China) [Bodyguard-triangle-sexy-story] This isn't for everyone, it is a very sexy drama as pictures and name said. But it has a really good plot and surprised me in many ways. 7,5/10.
11. Nang Rai (Thailand) [a Cinderella Story] with good actors. 7,5/10.
new 12. Royal Rumours (China) [strong female concept] When you like gentle comedy and a really good story, this is for you. Good actors and chinese culture. 7,5/10
13. Poisonous Passion (Thailand) This story is amazing. Sadly the second half of the drama is a little bit weak. 7,5/10
14. Love in the Air (Thailand) [BL] one of the few i have finished. Like the story for most parts. 7,5/10
15. Jazz for Two (South Korea) [BL] I like this drama, because it show psychotherapy and what can grief can do to a person. Good story and a smart way of production. 7,5/10
16. Fah Mee Tawan (Thailand) [revenge story] good actors, good story. I only give it so little points because it have a very rushed and unsatisfying ending. 7,5/10

The character development of Kang has barly started.

That isn't the think to do. Because the bulling is kangs character.
And in some countries this is normal school bullying. I am sorry to say so.
I think kang will grow and i am happy they taking their time with that.

It doesn't skip over. He is a bully he isn't so far to see his bad doings. If you wait a few ep. i think you get your apology.

If you see ray and mew as comfort for each other, why the second kiss?
I can't bring the second kiss, rays anger over Boston and ray/sand together.
Why did ray kiss mew again?
Why don't he say to Boston he doesn't know a thing and that everything is 2 years over?
If he care for sand.
Ray is making things difficult for himself here.

as other say Top/mew maybe both haven't seen them in a other drama.
For sand/ray it isn't the chemistry and their acting got better since the Eclipse. They aren't the best but also not the worst anymore.
Maybe it is the story? What Top/mew and sand/ray have in common is their story isn't as worse as Boston.

I don't like the person Boston but he is a good negative example. I jump over Top and mew scene, because top is as bad as Boston and he is shown as the victim of Boston. And i don't like the acting skills of both actors.

If he have acknowledged and/or apologized in ep. 3 or 4 i would have said they rushed it.
He has only see he have gone to far and try to make up for it. He haven't change and don't see anything bad in his behavior. Because it is his right. He is the star of school he can do anything.
I would put what you imagine in episode 8 or 9.
Because for a bully it is easier to ignor and make up for what he have done than to question himself.
Have patience and maybe you will be surprised.
