Everyone who disagreed and dissed me for telling you this production is awful... you should've listened...
Actually, the production and the art design are not honest to that era. Gold plated metal furniture wasn't a thing back in the 90's, and all that glass and shaggy carpets. And i don't wanna talk about the costume design. π
There was a summary of the ending somewhere in novelupdate forum. It was so detailed and talked about the relationship between Grandpa and DJ. It also mentioned the ending, which was far better with no dream sequences and stuff like that. No loopholes of HW being at the same alternate reality, coz he wasn't there, there was a daughter instead of him. So, DJ got married, have kid and take over Sunyang, and went to visit the place where he was shot. I think i recall that the culprits of his shooting were his 2 cousins, and his cousin was jailed for some crime. Anyway, most of the opinions about the novel say that it's so focused and to the point with no side stories or nonsense talks.. So, no loopholes all written over it like the drama.
Great gems from brain of this writer1. You can get your head hit by a bullet, fall off a cliff and then be up and…
3. Hyun woo has kept a recording of 20 year old with him in a USB..really?? What surprised me more the fact that his phone auto-record the call! He might transfer it to his computer and kept it... but Seriously the writing are so lazy. I liked the connection between DJ and HW, and a few other elements, but hated the whole thing. Anyway, the script writer page is full of " Don't use your brain" words.
π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£ Sorry bro. It's that bad. It's like the script writer is telling us to watch only the 1st and last episodes and forget about all in between.
So according to the script writer you can watch only the 1st and the last episodes, and you will gather what she wants to say!! What a brilliant writer!! πΆπ It's a dream and he woke up avenging what happened to him and what he did to DJ, whom he didn't even know but was one of the reasons of his death. And episodes 2- 15 are all nonsense and just a coma dream! (Do people even dream in comas?) So, if you want a great plot watch from 2-15 except the ending scene in ep 15. If you want to grind your teeth, watch the whole thing. If you want a lame plot, lazy writing, watch 1 and 16.
How can you say it is a "well written ending" when it is so unsatisfying?
The main concept of the ending was good, but the extraction was horrible. The way it was put down, the relationships and interaction between the characters were good, the reason, or the connection between DJ and HW was ok and made sense why HW was reborn as DJ. But the whole thing was a big loophole. The connection between them should've been shown in a different way, not like this, the writer should've sticked to the original ending. Some elements here are good, but they were not used well. That's why i say it's a well written ending but not a good ending. In the novel, there was no HW in the alternative reality he was in, there was a daughter instead. By doing so the novel's writer killed any chance for a loophole of the 1 person in 2 bodies.
Are you happy that you ruined a fantastic drama? all you had to do was to adapt the novel into a drama, the work…
I second that. If she was ever to be hired one day, i hope her contract state loud and clear "STICK TO THE ORIGINAL NOVEL" and don't act smart or use your imagination coz it's very infertile.
Please don't act smart next time and stick to the original novel. You have ruined an almost perfect drama coz you wanted to add your touch! A drop of ink in a pure glass of water.
Im literally so confused by this show. So did HW travel back in time and was reborn as DJ. Because didn't DJ with…
The ending wasn't exactly the best execution. It was full of loopholes. So, sadly there a lot of things that doesn't make any sense at all. The original ending of the novel was different. As far as i know in that alternate reality there was no HW at all, there was a daughter instead and there was no interaction between DJ and his past family after knowing that. Also, the culprit was the granddaughter (Not really sure about this one). Anyway, changing all of the well- thought ending made the series full of loopholes which are stupidly un-explicable. I feel like the writer of the drama decided to SHOVE it in our faces just like that.
Is it a well written ending? Yes. Is it a good ending? NO! The concept of the circle of time might seem cool, but it has its own share of flaws that makes the ending unsatisfying and abrupt. LOOPHOLES are written all over it when it comes to the ending. The drama's writer should've never acted smart, it's not her forte
I came here to say the original novel has a happy ending. He takes over the company and marries the woman he loves…
WOW! That's a good ending tbh, I didn't read the novel but i know there was no HW in this alternate life, he found a daughter instead of him, and that's it. No more complications of 1 person in 2 bodies.
Anyway, most of the opinions about the novel say that it's so focused and to the point with no side stories or nonsense talks.. So, no loopholes all written over it like the drama.

To sum the drama up.
