Two scenes that really stood out for me, were when Yang Ho Rang & Shim Won Seok break up (her running to hug/hold on to him was heartbreaking and very relatable, along with her laying motionless with friends comforting her) and when Nam Se Hee thinks he is dreaming with Yoon Ji Ho laying next to him in the last episode (was such a creative and powerful way to have them reunite). I love the writing, directing, and acting in these two scenes. Plus, the cat "Kitty" had a flawless performance. π π
I loved Season 1 and was very excited for Season 2, but unfortunately, I didn't enjoy Season 2 nearly as much. The storyline and changes in the cast caused me to become disengaged. However, I still liked the special effects and cast members such as the Crown Prince and Maidservant Kim. Also, I went back and started watching "Because This Is My First Life" (2017) with actor Jung So-min, since I enjoyed her as Mudeok in Season 1.
Great idea for an article. I'm often impressed with the lighting in Kdramas as well, which is one of the many aspects (directing, writing, acting, etc) that help engage us with Kdramas.
"Ahn Jae Hyun as Ryu Eun Ho. I honestly don't get his appeal at all." Exactly, I was totally stumped! π Haha This was my first time seeing Lee Da Hee and I loved her as Sa Ra and ended Not dropping the drama since it was dragging, but instead fast-forwarded to scenes of her and Eun Ho. Thank you for your review!
I love Lee Da Hee "Scarlett" and started watching WWW because she's in it, but not a fan of the lead, so may just fast forward to see Scarlett's scenes.
Appreciate the warning, because it started out so Delightful with beautiful seaside, cute kid actors, a loving mother teaching son to cook and enjoyable village characters and then it Turned. : ( I dropped it after it seemed the whole cast was getting brain surgery.
Here's the soundtrack including the artists recording the music in case anyone is interested:
