I usually associate lakorns as the more dramatic soap opera like stuff. One of the ways to tell them apart is…
This is true. You can tell it by the network, even the artists and the production. I love watching from CH3.
I think I was able to easily adjust to Thai drama because it was almost like how us here in the Philippines produced TV soap,, long and draggy and high pitched voice..hahaha
My guilty pleasure is Lakorn..haha! I got introduced to it by watching Full House Thai, and I love this version better. In terms of production, CH3 makes it much more better than Ch7 and I find GMM a little bit too teeny. Although, of course, they cater to different audience. Highly thankful to the fansubbers so I also try to pay if I can. ( I know how hard work it can be, being im a bilingual too)
Unknowingly, find myself watching more everything else than kdrama recently.. haha
Cdrama - if I want some character driven stories especially if I have time to do so Thai (Lakorn) - if I want a little bit of craziness or and a definite feel good ending Jdrama - if want something short and sweet but definitely impactful
I am a huge POT fan.. at first, I find it difficult to identify the characters, but eventually everyone did grow on me.. Lu Xia's acting was incredible. In some sense, I like how they focused on each of the characters and giving them some depth.. it seems like they finished it until the Kanto Finals, so I hoping for a second season to cover the Nationals <3
Conspiracy theory: Lee Seo Jin isn’t staying with them! He is never shown in the bed next to Seo Joon and he…
I think he is definitely on a different room.. I think he has a thing with shared room bec in the first season of three meals, he brought his own bed on the next episode..
This version is so cute. I think I will put it up there with my other favorite version, the Thai version "Kiss…
Me too. They were able to condense it without losing the heart and soul of the story plus doing it in the millennial context by integrating social media. Thai version has the best back story, that I kept wishing they still make a season , so hopefully the Chinese version will have one. I love the chemistry of the leads here.????
Great article! I also have the same complains about sometimes the lack of character development in dramas plus slice-of-life is my favorite genre. This made me curious and decided to watch Mare. Thank you so much!
I actually kept on delaying watching the last episode because I can feel the sadness for all them. At the same time, you can actually appreciate how sincerely all WINNER members loved all the kids. I really hope they (kids) won't forget them.
This drama has so much potential, story-wise, but the delivery failed. Wayoon and Ramil have no chemistry here (they are better at Tawipob) despite Wayoon's good acting. I can't see any redeming qualities on Ramil, i honestly think Wayoon forgave him too easily. I don't like Nicolai for Wayoon too. They are just not fit to be together.
On a positive note, there are less screaming females here..hahaha
And it seems like CH3 is getting better in their video production :)
